So Oregon Kaufusi has been named in the Tongan and Samoan teams. He's also eligible for NZ too (and presumably Oz).

Eh? How? Is he going play for one one week then other next?

Squads are updated today - he's officially Samoan.

We Could potentially field the best balanced kiwi team of all team , not so much measured with the stars, but with no if very few weaknesses

just on the upcoming World Cup

Has Mal Meninga made a mistake? He's basically picked an Origin pack that is totally suited to a flat out game. While test matches played in the UK with international refs actually be that type of game? Traditionally they have been a lot slower, meaning you need big units.

Even Penrith have big units in the front row.

Its still a good pack, but this is also why I give us a good shout. We have some serious muscle up front including most of the Penrith props .

60-6 to England against Samoa in the opener. Samoa had injuries but disappointing in general from them considering the amount of NRL players.

That's put quite a dampener on the tournament in a way. 16 teams is too many. This was really the only heavyweight clash in the pool games.

Unless you're a fiend for RL you can pretty much ignore the tournament until the semis. With the exception of an expected clash between Tonga and Samoa in the QF I suppose.

NZ playing Lebanon, Jamaica and Ireland is quite the pool lineup. Coaching staff will have their work cutout keeping the lads focused and not hitting the piss midweek. Fiji in the QF will be a little harder but then Australia in the semi will be definitely worth tuning in for.

Only thing worse than the Samoa quality of play was the TV commentary. Embarrassing to listen to.

Will tune in for the Quarters onward.

Imagine Miles "And England are showing why they are just sooo good" Harrison, multiply by 10, and aim for an audience of 13 yr-olds.

At least Jonathan Davies didn't get a chance to say "space out wide!"

Wow. Thumped. Samoa 's only points from an intercept as well.

I've just read elsewhere that Samoa havent played any warm ups. Many teams haven't. Seems as amateurish prep as a blackcaps test tour of the sub-continent. David White says "hold my beer".

Just like always. Teams like Lebanon Ireland Italy etc are just NRL players who can't make the Kangaroos

I think so too. SOO is awesome and any NZ/GB/Oz game is always a good watch, but RL has never really kicked on like RU for me.

    Will enjoy the RLWC though.

@kiwiinmelb was a piece on the news last night about Jordan Meads, a Kiwi guy who is playing for Greece, for a period, many of the games played illegal over there!!

Samoa: My god that was a poor effort. The commentators started off ok, aside from the fact they clearly make no effort to pronounce names correctly, but they went a bit fan boi home town rabid once England started racking up the points. It reminded me of one of those old Kiwis games when they rode in on some hype against the Kangaroos and then got thumped. I think that due to the stupid (rigged) draw that Samoa will still go through to the finals matches.

Kayo: Such a shit streamer compared with Stan. I watched the Eng v Sam match then wanted to watch some quick highlights of Oz v Fiji but could only find the 20 minute "mini". Then most of that footage was replays of the tries. Also, no team's lists at the start. @Daffy-Jaffy I guess I'll just go to YT from now on. Stan does it much better with Minis/Highlights in the same tab. Plus the usual multiple times dropping down to 720p.

Numbers: Fuck off with your stupid Super League numbering system.
