This briefly explains the time jump and casting.
Point is that like many, I am watching the show not the post episode explanation and the show jump was jarring. Again, not a biggie, but still jarring.

It'd be nice if they just put a caption up saying when the time jump happened and how big it was? I got confused when the Queen suddenly had kids in the previous episodes, and this time it took a while to figure out who was who. Hard to follow the timeline just watching the show without that.

Looks like the next (E08) will jump again (10 years or so), on youtube I saw Aemond as an adult on the video image.

Gotta say I have lost interest over the last two episodes. Not sure what it is but just not enjoying it. I like the younger versions and these old ones just not doing it for me.
Even though they are the same characters, it doesn't feel that way. In addition, the time jumps mean so much is introduced the canned before the end of the episode. Like daemon's wife, seemed pretty interesting, big fuck off dragon. Dead before the episode ended, yawn

Yep, a lot of the child actors seem to have been replaced - again.
I thought that the beginning of this episode was boring but it ended stronger.

A 6 year jump for this episode. The best so far though.
My minor quibble is Aemond seems a lot older than the other boys even though he is the youngest son. But yes, that was an improvement on the last.

I was hoping that the impending war would start in Ep 10. Viserys did tell us that the Targaryens do not control the dragons.
##endspoilerTotally, you could see that coming.
##spoiler
It was like the late series GoT how lucy was eaten over the sea. His, and his dragon's bodies were dispersed. Yeat Daemon is telling the Queen about it that day. Hate that shit. In reality, Aemond should just go home, stay schtum, and no one would be the wiser for weeks, or even ever

WTF was with that creepy cripple tossing himself off over a bare ankle. Of all the unnecessary scenes in GoT over the years that one takes the cake.
He has a foot fetish doesn't he, thanks to his club foot (I assume that's what the close ups of his feet before all the creepiness was implying).
Seem perfectly in line with both characters IMO.

One thing this show is been super unclear with, in a Witcher seasone 1 way (ie not good), is how much time is passing. How do you know it was just a day?
##endspoiler -
I got into this late.
It really didn't grab me until the last part of the season, took a while to find it's own identify from the original show. I missed jumping around of locations and different types of characters from GoT, so being focused on one house in one place wasn't as interesting.
The story fixed that for me later in the run.
I also found the Crown style recasting jarring. Unlike the Crown who has the balls to recast everyone, keeping some and not others is a mistake.
Certainly want to see what happens next, so they have done their job. Older Rhaeneyra had a cracker of a final scene, and her child birth scene was excellent.

##endspoilerDoesn't matter how long, it's ridiculous that anything was found, in what is now hostile territory, and communicated with Daemon. Queen would've been fretting if it wasn't very soon. It's like killing someone in a forest in a fantasy computer game, and th e guards arresting you when you hit the next settlement, despite no non magical way of knowing. Immersion breaking
