Vid doesnt work

Irony: When you declare yourself a "Sanctuary City" to protect illegal immigrants, work to prevent Federal agencies tackling illegal immigration, and people take you at your word.
-
@Victor-Meldrew this is a fuckin brilliant move by these Republican Governors. It good to see these democrats squeal because of a problem they have created.
-
@Victor-Meldrew In addition the Dems don't give a damn about these people, except for a potential fraudulent vote. As per usual if they can get more money to spend they will. Declaring a state of emergency!!! What nerve when the border states are getting overwhelmed by people crossing the borders. There was an article about how the coroners in Houston, I think, were no longer accepting the bodies of dead immigrants as they are so overwhelmed.

It's not really a Republican v Democrat thing though.

I'd say the vast majority of political leaders doing this would be Republican.
There might be exceptions, such as in this case where the mayor knows if he doesn't do something, he won't be reelected.It's a great move showcasing the blatant hypocrisy of these blue state leaders with their "sanctuary" cities. I hope they keep doing it.

@Victor-Meldrew ok 95 to 5 percent. Initiated by the republicans but yes some border dems are fed up because their constituents are.

From what I've read, it's a bit more than that with an increasing number of Democrats expressing concern and criticising Biden. Whether that concern is genuine or they are just worried about the mid-terms is another thing
-
In the case of Texas they've been under Republican leadership for what, the last 8+ years? Seems like borders and migrants are constant issues but what has been improved under current (state) leadership?
-
@Paekakboyz
The border is controlled by federal policy isn't it? -

@antipodean he is a fucking destructive prick and fool as are all the left. Inflation through the roof and my gas bill for driving has gone from around 400 bucks monthly under Trump to double that plus. If opec sticks it to us to get more common sense people elected I'll accept the pain. We were energy dependent and exporting.

Publicly airing your virtue by attacking MBS to gain brownie points from your domestic political tribe rather than keeping doors open and attacking him in private.
What could possibly go wrong?
