He did use a comma, so perhaps he meant all of the others were fringe and ALB was not?

@canefan either way it doesn’t matter. ALB is a 50+ test AB and if he can run and play then he should be with the ABs. Other than injury he has been a mainstay in the 23 since 2016.
If R Ioane was coming back from injury I doubt they would be putting him in an B team for a run or to get match fit.
I’d put Fainga’anuku in the AB XV side and ALB straight back into the ABs.

Leon MacDonald has been announced as Head Coach of the All Blacks XV and will guide the team on a two-match end of year tour, with Clayton McMillan and Scott Hansen also announced as Assistant Coaches of the team.
Also, the game against Ireland A is now listed, but not the game in Canada.

Agree. In the original media release the intention was to play 4 games. I hope there is more than the two matches. If not, a smaller squad will be taken.

From the article below:All Blacks coach Ian Foster and his fellow selectors will name the All Blacks XV squad, although he expects there to be minimal crossover of players between his and MacDonald's teams.
