three of my boys have made the state squad, Rebels should have adopted the "Axemen", much cooler name
edit: a few pretty unlucky i think considering we made the final

think RA might be well advised to to ask their previous players and coaches to STFU with the damage they must be doing selling the game to the everyman as one completely unworthy of watching due to the rules. People will quote that shit in conversation and it just cements the position of number four in the code listing..
No such thing as bad publicity in a congested market

The fact the Dave Rennie is not under pressure does my head in
They were flogged tonight. As they have been a lot.
Yes he's developing youth. And last week was actually really good.
But no wallaby coach in my life time, especially a kiwi, has been able to get away with a half decent performance every couple of games
All whole plunging down the rankings -
@mariner4life but they have beaten t by e Boks and Pumas and nearly the AB's. I think he has done really well with the cattle he has and oh do many injuries.
-
@mariner4life have seen a bit of chat around from the fan base about how he should prepare to resign.
When I ask them "ok then what?" the conversation dries up.
By all means let's put him under pressure for results. But let's have a genuine alternative or it's just a bluff.
Additionally: how the fuck do you beat the pumas with a BP then lose to them and give away a BP? Same with the boks.
How do you come back from 31-13 down against the ABs to nearly win, then put in that performance?
Which one do you put down to the coaching?

Look, you can rationalise this all you want
But losing wallabies coaches get knifed like Labor prime ministers after a bad run of polls
Rennies wallabies are often quite shit and there is zero pressure
Aussie rugby fans have given up

Maybe we have given up, but again: what is the alternative to the current setup?
We are basing our expectations on a team that was successful 20 years ago, with supporting systems that are currently worse.
Every fluffybunny thinks the answer is a change in coach or maybe their favourite player instead of "that guy from NSW", because they don't understand how bad the production line is.

I think @mariner4life s point is that the “sack the coach” mantra has fizzled out.
Maybe the realisation is that no matter how good a coach RA employs is, the underlying game isn’t there and relying on a handful of very good players isn’t going to get consistency.
Fans may well have given up to an extent.
Frustrating thing for Rennie must be that he can’t get consistent performances from the team as they are mentally hot and cold. Last night they showed some fortitude when down numbers but then switched off a notch when back to full compliment.
I like that he’s been benching Nic White if that’s to send a message to concentrate on the game rather than your mouth or being a smartarse. White doesn’t get the message though.
If any game was ever setup for the Wallabies to come out and prove a point it was last night and instead they pissed it away almost immediately by sapping their own energy fighting to stay in it after dumb play. -

All whole plunging down the rankingsDave's win rate is at 40%.
Remember when we pilloried Robbie (who ended up almost 50 percent better at 58%.

... Australia offers a huge wad of cash to Ian Foster to take over.

Here you go.
Fair and balanced Daily Telegraph (paywall).
If he had any credibility at any stage he doesn't any more:
The Wallabies are always looking for NRL players to switch codes, but why not league’s best coaches?
It’s a little-known secret that Wayne Bennett was once asked if he would consider coaching the Wallabies and he gave it some serious consideration before deciding to stick with league.
But what about Ricky Stuart, who played for the Wallabies? He’d been a sensation. Or Craig Bellamy? Or Trent Robinson? Rugby Australia should not be putting any limits on finding the right person.

I genuinely think I'd wet myself from laughter if the ARU got a league coach with no experience in rugby.

i would pay enormous amounts of money to watch a Ricky Stuart press conference after a losing Wallaby test with even one contentious refereeing decision in it

He's a former Wallaby so does not meet @antipodean's criteria.
But agree wholeheartedly. Chieka and Rennie are amateurs in comparison.
