Just need one of those from the Neesh to pop up to a short mid wicket or cover.

Kane has lost it. Far too timid. These two are taking the game away from us. And we've helped them do it

Kane's tactics have been poor. Did he forget we are defending a low score? At last Boult is back into the attack and almost gets a wicket first ball

Hard to blame too much on Kane’s bowling choices, given only his opening bowlers have fronted with the ball tonight.

He didn't bowl them long enough. He's wasted the juicyness of the ball on the spinners

Yeah, for mine he could have given Boult 2 overs sooner before these guys got set, but other than that it's the other bowlers that haven't fronted as yet

We've certainly missed some run out chances as well

He also pushed the field back to soon and let the singles come to easy to build this partnership.
He should have keep the squeeze on when we had them 5 down.
Instead of the in out field he applied he should have kept the 15 metre circle tight to cut down singles and not them run the 2s they have.

Keep Boult on and pushed the run rate up.

Henry bowled a seven over spell.

Lochie did bowl late, but not remarkably well either. I think Williamson was hoping to get an over or two like Maxwell’s wicket taking one out of our spinners.

Good analysis, I think Kane and Stead have the tendency to be far too conservative. I remember reading Baz's book and he said he and Hesson balanced each other well as he always wanted to go all out attack, and Hesson would challenge him on that when needed. Not sure we have that balance between captain and coach right now.

Australia go for the kill it’s all aggression we go into holding patterns to often.
    McCullum.
Had that go for the throat attitude.
We need to be more aggressive to beat the Aussies.
