@mariner4life has to go with
6 AI
8 sotutu....doesn't he?
Wouldn’t surprise me if they went
6 Barrett
7 Cane
8 Sotutuand i could see the reasoning for that. it would cause the least disruption to the pattern
it's just i quite liked the lock trio working on Saturday
-
@ACT-Crusader good point
personally i see the fact AI and Sotutu play super rugby together as a major selling point as well as i like barrett at lock more than 6....but i get that fozzie sees barrett as one of his best 6's so you might be right

@nzzp cant talk about being tall and not mention Jordie....we are determined to keep him starting
Hayman, the height and weight ratio, plus the beard, what else do you really want in a number 8?

No Ardie? Big loss of our Talisman loosie. Adds extra pressure on the loosies who play. Cane will to need to repeat his last performance and then some.
ironically it gives us the chance to really balance the trio. Hopefully it's galvanising

Akira has had his best games against Aust so you would think he gets the no.6 jersey. The pace of the game will be quicker than against SA or Arg, which doesn't lend itself to SB being the best option at blindside.
I liked the use of Retallick off the bench, and he made an impact.

Agree with Retallick.
And now the lack of game time for Sotutu becomes the issue. A big ask for him to play a test match on the back of training only (and a bit of time at NPC this weekend).

Ryan mentioned Frizzel was dinged up after the last test and had injured a rib I think so they're likely resting him. Surprised about Ardie though.

I reckon, take it from me, being at two births is more than enough. Can’t believe he’s going back for a third.

Do you expect me to have read the press release before chiming in?

Shit no. It makes for much better ferning if you jump in all indignant and ignorant.

Our best player not being there next week is a huge loss. Big chance for Hoskins though.

Is something wrong with Sami?
-
@Canes4life said in Bledisloe 1:
@Crucial I said our best player, not our best hooker.
Best player is a contentious one. Sami T has arguably been more consistent.. He has definitely been more obvious more often. I'd probably have Ardie second..
-
@nostrildamus Ardie has started every match there has been this year. He's been consistently world-class over a longer period. Samisoni comes in second for me.
-
Taukei'aho doesn't play for the Canes does he?

So there is a longevity criterion now? Ok
Dan Coles has started every match one could expect of him [without a zimmer frame] given Samisoni has been the best performer this year and Codie Taylor has a second line in a meat pies bakery. He's been consistently irritating world-class players over a longer period (since 2012). Samisoni still comes in second for me. -

Ardie has obviously been our best, he’s been influential in every game this year and the voting system on here backs up that notion.
I agree with you that Samisoni’s been our second best and is probably pushing Malcolm Marx as the best hooker in World Rugby.
