RWC 2023

@Bones no doubt I always wanted one of the ABs to deck him, but I met him at a couple of Brumbies functions back around 2010 I think and he actually was compete opposite to that punchable egg guy on the field. Liked a beer or three too!

Remember Austin Healy calling him a plank back in the day ? That was amusing ( to my great disappointment Healy is actually quite a likeable funny guy when interviewed )
I also remember a pretty good punch up with Filipo Levi, I think both guys got sent off for that one.

One things for certain, no way any SH side can put together 3 good performances in a row to win this! France, Ireland, England so very much in the box seat
When was the last time England put three good performance together too?
France, then Ireland the favourites IMHO.

Third fave on ranking or draw?
England have a pretty easy road. Will face Wales or Australia in the quarter.
Getting those three games in a row is always the killer in RWC. -

Getting those three games in a row is always the killer in RWC.To win, France easy favourites, followed by Ireland. England 3rd fave to win. SA, NZ, Oz can't do 2 good games in a row, let alone 3, so yup.

Ireland are the masters of choke at RWC. I’d have France, England, SA before them.

Sure, but they were also masters of losing to ABs. I think they may have moved on from that, Farrell has them firing. As long as they are not peaking too early

They also 100% rely on sexton being fit. All their other 10s are a step down. Beating NZ in NZ might help psychologically for the knockouts though, you’re right.

Just watched 'Dan Carter - A Perfect 10' An excellent documentary. Bloody hell I'd forgotten just how good this guy was! Not only the place-kicking, but the subtle feints, time, space and the tackling!. He sure was the complete package. What we would give for a 10 like him today.......and a 12 like Nonu and the GOAT at 7....🙄

I think they're just as reliant on Gibson-Park also.
