The fact that Miguel Sapochnik is heavily involved should be a positive.
A lot of new characters to remember though.
Totally, and the names are all so similar. In GoT they changed a few to make it easier to remember (an there is eaily less than half the characters than in the books). But George refused in this series

I can’t watch this til we finish the original ( second time for me, first for the girl ).
Have heard good things. Hope this is the case.
Dying need to watch the original for this.
But yeah GoT is amazing...
... Until the writers ran out of books

@Machpants
I was hoping the Night King would have lasted longer, but he gets taken out by a teenage girl with good skills.Did he? I didn’t (couldn’t) see it.

I know the dragon watch is much higher than early seasons of GOT (big negative for me) but whats the nudity watch like in comparison?
First, accidental, actual arsehole on US TV in the Whore House orgy scene. Nudity is up there

I assume that the producers expect that as we are watching a show where people ride dragons we can also suspend belief and accept that in 10 years a woman with a very unusual look will completely change her features to be quite ordinary looking and unrecognisable from the previous episode.

She's had kids

I assume you are talking about Milly Alcock vs Emma D'Arcy?
Have you watched the episodes of The House That Dragons Built? They cast the older versions first.
What’s The House that Dragons built?
But yes, those actors. Zero resemblance. -

Lots of side effects to that for sure but having your nose grow and eyes remodelled are things I hadn’t noticed before 😀

In the book she’s actually quite chunky due to the kids - if the show runners were stunning and brave they would have used an attractive but larger actress. But no she gotta be slim and willowy, despite being involved in the 50% chance to die everytime childbirth (at least) 3 times

It's a 20-25 min behind the scenes look of each episode, shown after each episode airs. There are also shorter versions on YT.
But yes, those actors. Zero resemblance.
I don't have a problem. If I was to be critical of anything, it is that Matt Smith hasn't aged 10 years.

He’s a Timelord, duh

I hated the change in actors, just fucken confusing that half of them changed and half didn't, just made it seem silly. Not like they changed Uhtred in The Last Kingdom, that dude was ageless but who cares. They can do other stuff to age actors, and I much preferred the younger actors to the new ones. We get invested in the characters and when they change you lose that investment of sorts, seems stupid to me.

I'm guessing it is because you are watching behind the scenes stuff.
It's not a biggie and was only a momentary re-adjustment but for anyone not in the know that time jump was made extra jarring by wondering who you were watching.
For me it was 'is that the princess? Doesn't look anything like her but I guess it must be'
