Hawkes Bay vs. North Harbour (RS)

@Crucial there is an art to profiling a player with a specific skill set regardless of what team he plays for .
Stephenson has all the tools to succeed in a higher environment, unfortunately this current coaching group don’t rate him .
But we are talking about a group that is playing the same team back to back for the first time in 49 x games ..tells you something about them as a selection team -

It's hard to believe, but we basically won this game because McClutchie's boot was better than Gatland's.
And Harbour nearly won it through Gatland's attacking game.
It's the upside down.

@Crucial we will agree to disagree..players with lesser skill sets and an ability to beat players one on one have been part of the All Black set up in recent times .
Bridge being shite doesn’t make Stevenson good enough. Weird logic.

The winning margin has doubled from the last successful defence against Counties, that's a 100% increase. The anxiety levels were more strained this time though thanks in a decent part to a poor selection on the HB right wing and nothing could really be done about it thanks to the composition of the bench, although Neria Fomai has been decent when given a run there a couple of times.
Thankfully the dreadful stream of box kicks were almost eliminated this time, possibly because of the decent wind coming in from the south west.

@Higgins The good part of that game was that the Bay never gave up, and really applied themselves when it counted. The bad part is that unless you correct it you'll do it once too often. The Bay pack looked to be fairly dominant, but at the moment the backline appears to be clunky, and not in sync. The last 15 minutes were bloody good, but it needs to be there from the word go to give Bay supporters confidence the Shield can be retained. Southland are next in line, and as usual they are the kind of team that will sneak up and do exactly what there not meant to. I remember a few years ago when they came up, with basically a no name team, played a good Bay team and beat them. And let's not forget 9-3 over Canterbury. To be honest the Bay appear to be playing fairly restricted. Lift the lid and let them play. That's when there at there best. Oh and please get rid of James Parsons as a commentator. He's a very good analyst but as a commentator he gives me the shits.

I like Sapsford in the midfield (as back up) but he's not really a wing.

I don't think Visinia is a wing either - his defence was pretty shocking.
I'm sad the highlights package didn't show one of the best bits - the girl running the ball on the field at the start of the game, realizing that it is Gatland who is waiting for it, and just putting it on the ground instead of giving it to him so he had to fetch it.

Haha, I'm going to have to check that out later (after I find out where you live and waterboard you for your spelling of realising.)
