All Blacks v Pumas 1

@Victor-Meldrew There's also the option to bring Perofeta on at 15.

Would love to see how Perofeta goes at 10 after Mounga has played the first 60 or so(assuming we can afford to bring him on)
Think he'll be on the bench if BB is ruled out but Ritche may well play the full 80 depending on how the game pans out.
Just throwing it out there, but could we see the same starting backline as SA 2, but on the bench have a midfielder (QT or RTS) plus a winger (eg Reece).
Plan to play Mo’unga for 80 and better utilise the options on the bench. If he gets crook we run with either Jordie or Havili at 10.
Imagine the shit Foster would cop if that didn't work out.
It will be interesting to see how/if they can give RTS playing time though. With 4 midfielders that aren't versatile the options are limited. They have obviously worked hard on upskilling QT to play 13 and currently he is the only real cover there except Ennor.

That's what I'd plan to do.
I don't really hold with the idea of planned substitution of your first five - but, you need cover in case he gets hurt (or is having an absolute mare).
I'd like to see some tests where Beaudy and Richie aren't paired, because they don't seem to have quite worked out as hoped. I think Fozzie has been playing a game of trying to keep both of them happy with game time, possibly to the detriment of the team.
So Perofeta (or DMac) on the bench.

After watching Aussies and Argies and the Argies propensity to kick, I’d be hesitant to replace Jordie given he seems to have found his mojo again for attacking the high ball. He was pretty key for us in SA 2 in the air.

We seem to think that we need bench firepower at 10 when we should be planning to be in control.
A tactical change up could work well where Fakatava keeps the other team in doubt but the 10 keeps them pinned back. I'd like to see how Perofeta goes in that situation. -

It's been an ongoing frustration that they keep pairing Beauden and Mo'unga together when it clearly hasn't been working. Even if both players are buying into the idea off the pitch, in the heat of a test we get a jumbled approach and neither really take control of the game. Mo'unga definitely benefited from being in charge last test and played a lot better as a result.

Yeah, I thought that, but we have enough cover there already with Giraffe & Jordan and I suspect Foster sees Perofeta as the 3rd 10.

I think they want to win this one well and go for experience, so suspect QT on the bench instead of RTS. Foster can then give some of the newbies game time in Pumas 2.

Also remember that the Aussie tests are inAdelaide. South Australiahas aweirdtime zone, being half an hour (not an hour) behind NSW, Queensland etc.😉
Quite historic, can’t recall a test match in Adelaide
-
@ACT-Crusader The 2003 RWC had games at Adelaide Oval, including a Wallaby pool game.
-
Aus v Nam 142-0 RWC 2003.
Also Ire v Arg RWC 2003. Was a 1 pointer IIRC. Think the Paddies got up. Boring game.
Also Wobs v Pac Islanders. 2004 I think. Actually went to that game. IIRC both Sivivati and Lauaki scored in the SW just in front of where I was sitting. (Will have to check the actual scorers.) Made some comment about getting them into black jerseys which I recall was greeted like a cup of cold sick ...
Went to Aus A v Fiji one year too.
But can't recall any other tests there.
Edit: was right about Lauaki. Other try scorer was Sireli Bobo (not Sivi)
