Naholo ... Yay or Nay?
-

Pretty straight forward.. time to pin your colours to the mast.

I am a fan.. and think he will only get betterer and betterist..
-

I'm a fan. I thought he was better in test 2. He drew and passed nicely to TJP I think it was instead of being a hungus.

Yes there are still some rough areas (but I feel this is overblown) but his overall commitment is great and he has a ton of x factor.

I thought the back 3 worked great together on the weekend and they all did well.
-

fan, probably as you can see he is far form the finished article, and that is obviously a good thing.

reckon over all he is about 50/50 in his 2 test matches for good vs bad
-

Unsure how to answer.

Do i think he's a good test player at the moment? No, far too many rough edges, work ons, and weaknesses to be called that.

Do i think he's a weapon worth persisting with? Yes, he's big, strong, and has mad wheels. He's also not shy about going looking for the ball.
-

I'm not a fan at this moment, I don't think his upside is outstripping his downside.

Happy for him to prove me wrong over the next few years.

Me three!

I hope he gets better and I can once again be proved wrong by an AB but at the moment, it's a neigh from me which isn't as bad as a whinny
-

Your answer is yes then as you seem to be a fan of his potential. I think anyone claiming he is the finished product at test level is a bit deluded.
-

if that's the criteria, then it's a yes for me then.

But, it's not even finished product, i am not convinced he's even a good test player yet. But the big word there is yet, and he's showing enough of a threat to keep him in (especially given J Savea's current state, and NMS's injury, and the paucity behind them).
-

This plus I don't really think we have many better options. I'd like to see Lowe given a shot but he has a lot of the same rough edges.
-
He is a big fucker and he makes ground on every carry. Savea used to do this but now falls over as soon as theres contact. Naholo makes ground everytime, sure there a some densive frailties but hell get there.

In the current squad or all time ?

Put me down as a fan who thinks he has work ons.....
-

Not voting because I'm still on the fence.

I just hope Savea gets back to his best (and NMS healthy), just long enough for the next group of wingers to come through. The likes of Shaun Stevenson, Mason Emerson & co if they continue to improve. Obviously, I'd like to see Waisake continue to improve as well. I hope he'll be a great winger at test level asap.
-

Jury still out for me , lots of upside ,

But going back to last years WC , what I have seen this year confirms to me that selection was a mistake , he wasn't ready for a World Cup final , and piatau should have been selected .

Lucky it didn't bite us on the arse , one injury away from having to play him .( maybe two if you played Slade ? )
-

Yes for me - his acceleration is deadly. We went to the game and he has this surge of speed just ahead of contact that really puts the defender on the back foot. The stuff he is raw on (positioning mainly) will get improved from his time in the AB's. A few more tests and work with the AB's coaching staff and he'll be well on his way.

Pretty valid point, I think!

You can see why they like him, but he needs some polish.
-

Aww c'mon

That is so weak sauce.
-

it would seem he has a HUGE upside, and is being selected on that, as the error rate isn't what you would expect from an AB...fortunate for him that Savea is woefully out of form and NMS is injured.

I agree - a bit hard to answer.

I voted no to even things out :)

Actually, I voted no because I think that he isn't quite ready for 4 nations rugby, where I think we might get punished because of his shitty decisions. Hope I'm wrong.

On the other hand, as we all know, he's a massive weapon.

Right now, I'd probably have him on the Dmac path, but I assume that playing him is what the cartel think is best way to develop him. Plus, Savea is shit and NMS is out.
