@booboo mate, they actually played some good rugby...this team is about to equal that run anyway next week.

Get what you're saying. But I thought that late 90s team was really brittle.

This team, to my mind, is full of decent players who are less than the sum of it's parts.

Early 70s was shit too. In my lifetime but before my recollection ...

@booboo this is def a good team, but zero direction or anything else resembling that of a top rugby nation.

Some of the Boks will need a rest at sometime.

They get enough rest during the game don't they?

@taniwharugby we do need some changes, being midfield, loosies and some props that aren't beige.

But generally just a way to make a whole that gets the best out of the players.

cos you know what, I reckon we are seeing many in this team, collectively almost at thier worst! Just so much wrong with things, I imagine the pressure is immense, but I doubt it is a very happy camp.

@booboo This is worse. The ABs lost a lot of games in the late Hart era but we were at least competitive in most of them. At the moment we are losing games by big margins and barely firing a shot.

Hart had the wrong plan (speed not power). At the moment there is zero plan which is worse.

@Crazy-Horse maybe. Our bom squad is the poison. We need tovstart them like Marx yesterday. Our third choice frontrow will walk in the All Black team. These players need to play

Schalk Burger summed up the issues with our loosies very well.

Cane not playing well and under pressure and it shows.
Ardie stands out but looks lonely.
He was surprised SB didn't start 6.

It was on the breakdown, he spoke very well.. Worth a watch when it goes up on YouTube

Please either play Akira - Paps - Sotutu with Ardie on the bench, or start Ardie with Paps on the bench. That's so obviously our best mix of loosies. It's immensely frustrating to see them continue with an unbalanced trio, and then to really rub salt in the wound recall the woman beater who is not only a fucking criminal but is also just awful at test level. An absolute flat track bully that gets his sorry ass handed to him by the big boys every time.

@Mattasaurus Starting an extra tight forward might compensate in some ways for our tight five being substandard. With our structures it would make fuck all difference though.

Frizzell did make a couple of good and very low cleanouts, and in the last 10 minutes was into everything. However, his carrying and tackling were mediocre, even against a tired team. Move on.

They also need to start RTS at 12. Ennor and Havili cannot compete at the top level, RTS is a world class athelete that will only get better the more he plays.

And he's used to playing in a poor team (Warriors) but is able to stand out amongst the headless chickens around him. Good point.

Yeah, I know he's inexperienced at test level but the other options are just dire, we may as well start someone that at least has the potential to succeed.

@No-Quarter I hate how inexperience gets used against players. I'd start RTS and Newell next week tbh, time to see what these guys are made of.
