One of the best races in many a year.
Insane first start & as much as all the commentators say nobody wants to see this etc etc it is part of motor racing& does add to the drama. You know it's a big event though when they don't show replays for 15 minutes. Anyway, the racing at the start, the restart & then the last few laps was just brilliant. Plenty of proper overtaking spots.
Really does make you wonder why all these new tracks have not designed a much more racing friendly track. They may claim they have, but why does Silverstone year in, year out provide fantastic racing? What is the difference?
George Russell isn't the first racing driver to forget the truth after facing a penalty. There is of course a chance he could have been able to get the car started & then back around around the track without a rear tyre, but it was exceedingly unlikely.
Found part of me cheering for Hamilton yesterday which is a first ...

The way Le Clerc got his comeuppance after constantly whining about Sainz was pretty tasty too. Unbelievable racing in the last ten laps, so exciting and yeah I was cheering Hamilton on too.
Was pretty odd when the commentators refused to even acknowledge Perez before the safety car let them go.

@Bones to be fair Leclerc was obviously faster. Had Ferrari given him the reds during the safety car I believe he'd have won.
Can't say I agree with that.
I think Sainz would have crashed out before he gave up the win. He had it set in his himself that he was winning and that was all there as to it.

Leclerc would've easily overtaken him if Sainz was left out. The pace difference was considerable. On the same tyres Leclerc was faster and Sainz went by solely because he was on fresh, soft tyres.

I'm starting to think all the shit i see on social media that i thought was PR spin might be genuine, and Seb is actually a good rooster

also it appears that Lewis Hamilton has bought a stake in the Denver Broncos and i don't know how to feel about that.
-
@mariner4life why not both? I'm sure he'd know that story is probably going to come out somehow...

When it all comes out, my money is on Piastri looking like the immature unprofessional piston wristed gibbon.
He's come out pretty strong, what makes you say that?
