@canefan that's a pretty unbelievable team when you look back on it. Missing a Masoe/Akira type though but hey can't have everything.
Dallas Seymour was a Messam type at the time.
More Forbes than Messam for mine!

That team was super awesome even if they did include a carthorse
The mere idea these days of a sevens team including Cully, Lomu and Vidiri is dream team stuff.
He wasn't cart horsed until he moved to Chch, before that he was all flair.

Sure both played 7 for C-M but don't forget Dallas was an All Black!
Seriously though he was crucial at dealing with the Fijian physicality at the breakdown back then. Something NZ is almost incapable of doing these days.

I've just sat down in front of this opening ceremony for the past 5 minutes. What an absurdity. Could be a scene out of Zoolander.

Didn't see it, but it sounds great. Hoping it's the one with the gasoline fight.

@gibbon-rib Duran Duran piece might have saved it.

It's like they rounded up every Am-dram and community dance group they could get a bus ticket for an threw them some dress-ups.
Painfully cringy. -
By the way, the first game was on by the Aussie women, who beat South Africa 38 - 0.
