Foster, Robertson etc

@gt12 Players getting work-ons that they succeed in developing, but those are then discarded when they return to camp - no clear plan/direction.
Also a good point that the coaches, who condescend to media with the "you don't know what we know" line, may be the ones who don't know what they're talking about - Aki and Lowe as cases in point.
My comment: Lowe being publicly described as lacking the skills for international rugby, while Bridge was viewed as a key player, shows how inept they were. Post-2015 Hansen really was an arrogant buffoon.

Just a question. That initial squad was for the Ireland series only wasn't it? When does the new squad get announced considering that they are meant to fly out soon?
I can't see NZR making a change before SA, which by extension may mean the TRC. Foster's career may hinge on those results.

@gt12 Players are told to go away and work on things only to get back into camp and things have changed. Everything vague.
If that is true, and it does appear to match with the lost play of the team, its time for them all to go.

That was the biggest take out from his comments. Say what you like about his style but McOnie does make friends among the players so gets some insights that we aren't party to.
Maybe it's time for Cane to show some real captaincy of the ABs (as opposed to the team) and have a quiet chat with NZR. If what McOnie says is true then the clear message is that Foster and his assistants have lost the changing room and although no one likes a dobber, it is time that the big bosses knew that. -

NZRU really did drink their own cool aid.

well, last year we hammered the Pumas, pretty much hammered the Aussies, split the games with SA then got curb-stomped in the two meaningful games up North.
So my point is. Even if we ride blissfully through the RC, in my eyes nothing has changed at all. It just means we are happy competing with teams below the best
(for what it is worth we will lose at least 1 in SA, and barring a freak game, or a big SA drop off, we'll probably lose both) -

the communications from teh ABs have been shit for years, it was jut hidden because we won heaps and heaps and heaps.
We, the public, who they supposedly represent (though with the ABs now no longer really a rep team, maybe they don't see it that way) getting given absolutely fucking nothing. And this is helped by a compliant media who broadcast nothing but propaganda (or editorial hit pieces).

I'm sick of the condescending BS from Foster and NZR.
If they don't pull their collective heads out of their collective arses this week, then come 6pm August 14, I suspect they will be looking at the single worst season of all Blacks rugby and will be needing to start getting the Bledisloe ready to be taken back...
I just feel NZR will bandaid fix this and will lurch further towards mediocrity

@Crucial are the players able to truly be honest in these feedbacks, or are the questions not designed to get to the heart of the problem?
I know this is NPC, but I hear the same sorts of stuff coming out of Northland and people I know in and around players, with players unhappy with similar stuff to the ABs', thier messaging, tactics etc, yet come end of year reviews, they get renewed.
Seems a disconnect there??

Haven't read the article, but before I saw this post it did cross my mind about looking to league for some answers. And Bellamy crossed my mind, especially given Razor and him seem to have developed a bit of a connection.
One can only dream, but Farrell has shown crossing between League and Union can be done successfully.
-
@Crazy-Horse According to Dagg he has worked with the ABs before too.

As much as NZR get stick about these things they sometime do run reviews with honest feedback. The recent one on the women's game and BlackFerns a case in point.
Even if they do the old 360degree feedback things, those rely on a culture of speaking openly.

The fact this result brings @BartMan out if hibernation says it all.
Who next, @Red-Beard ? Any others ?
I have just made room for Foster in the basement.
Welcome back mate

Ian Foster must go as part of an All Blacks rebuild Marc Hinton 13:00, Jul 18 2022 OPINION: Ian Foster is surely a goner. Among the laundry list of issues the board of New Zealand Rugby has to work through over the next few days around the All Blacks, that decision should take the least of their time. The board, we now know unequivocally, got it patently wrong when they extended Foster’s contract as All Blacks head coach through to the 2023 World Cup last year based on back-to-back home victories over a weak Wallabies side. Now these guardians of the game in this country must put their hands up and concede (as I noted at the time) that the decision was premature, and horrendously erroneous. Any other course of action could lead to the provinces wondering whether they have the right people running the game in this country.
