Can I say Scott Barrett is having a good game?

Defensively Red has been excellent. Best of the loosies on D which should be the captains bread and butter. But Red been quite inaccurate at the ruck and his throwing the ball along the ground after being tackled has lead to some slow attacking ball.

One of the things I enjoyed was Brad Mooar saying after halftime there wasn't much to say as the players had answers themselves!

Pleased we beat Ireland and beat them well. I dislike their moaning.

The go at the ref like football players at times... POM.. Good player but obviously went to the BOD school of whinging.

Didn't like how he moaned after Rieko's try line tackle went to the VAR and he didn't get the answer he wanted

Well played ABs, SB proved me wrong and great effort by all the lads.

Tough opponent for first test of the season. We will only get better

Last time they were here we best them nicely in the first test, then aDC drop was all that we win by in the second!

    That's an incredible win

Playing frantic took them out of their pattern and thrn they're fucked.

Defence was good especially on the line. Took a while to sort itself but they got better and better. Heaps of desperation.

Ireland are not doomed. When they get to play phases they look good. But got pulled out of it too easy. And they cannot chase a game.

Fuck we are good at scoring points in NZ if the other team switches off even a touch.

    Joke of a card.

    Agreed

But the ref finally ran out of patience

For something Ireland have done all game

    True

He was very lenient for both sides

They came down here expecting to win after the way they've played us recently

POM is right but that's easier said than done

That really is a ridiculous scoreline

That was the best TMO performance I've ever seen, and one of the best refereeing performances of the last year overall. ABs were pretty good, too šŸ™‚

Heaven forbid if Ennor ever has to start an important test for us but never mind that, we were very good out there for a lot of it. Some excellent scramble defence out there especially from Rieko in that 2nd half who really is a world class player both at 11 and 13.

Dont think Ireland are as bad as the scoreboard suggests. A few bounces of the ball and its a much closer game. They're still a chance at pinching a test imo.

Like to see a better kicking game from 1st but thought our forwards won the set pieces and carried well.

@Tordah Actually thought Wayne Barnes was very good in the MABs match. This ref seemed a little out of his depth at times

Just saw the replay of Ardie's try. The Irish defender was sweating on the outside pass, he totally made the correct call to run it in

Talk about putting your balls on the line!

Some balls were put on the line, after 20 mins it was touch and fucking go, but they finished the game in tact until next week

Like to see the possession stats for that game and the World Cup game compared to the losses ,

I’m not sure they can beat us unless they get lopsided possession

Kind of reminds me of the 2017 Lions tour? They looked shit in the build up to the first test, then weren't in it at Eden Park number one. Looked better after.

Irish kicking game and chase, defence, ball security, and set-piece were all rancid tonight, and Gibson-Park was genuinely awful.

Possession and territory basically 60-40 to Ireland

Much better than it started out.

    Scrum a big tick.

More physicality in defence and counter rucking was nice.

Nice to have 2 dangerous wingers and a bit of size out there.

Aaron Smith back to his best.

    Midfield promising.

For a lock at 6 Scott Barrett went well.

Thought the ref went bloody well.
