Is it wrong that I hope they do?

It's the least they deserve for what Heyneke Meyer had to go through last year. You want to bring politics into sport, it's what you deserve

Even if the Boks claw it back, which looks unlikely, this has been a pathetic performance.

Almost cant believe it.. Almost

When your coaching team consists of quotas with CV's such as this:

Congrats Ireland, made history today, and I'm sure many more teams will continue to do so for a while.

What a win for Ireland! Congratulations to them and Joe Schmidt.

Sad to see the Springboks in such a sharp decline though. The political situation in South Africa at the moment is hindering the side.

U20 quotas just lost to Argentina as well. And the sports minister has the nerve to say that it's teething problems and that we need to pray for the racists. If that's the case then I pray for you Mr. Mbalula

Fairplay to Ireland. They played with heart and courage.

SA strike me as finished (at least in the short term) as a world power. Imagine if the ABs had their record in recent times!

Well, I looked up the red card. My first reaction was yellow not red, but then I watched a second time. I think the green 6 takes off far too late to seriously charge the kick. That, combined with the contact to the head means I can see why the ref went red.

Still feels a bit weird for something that clearly doesn't have intent, but I can see why they got to where they got to.

SA clearly in trouble as a rugby power. Ireland with its full squad and 15 men on the field you would expect to have an even chance of beating South Africa if the game was played in Dublin.

14 men and away from home was something that was pretty much unthinkable. Not now.
