It would be sensible to have some like-for-like replacements in key positions like centre. Losing Rieko would completely change the potency of the midfield and backline for the worse. Sullivan will get his chance for the Māori if he doesn't make the ABs. A strong performance in those games will help his cause.
So how many AB careers end today? Bridge would have to be the obvious candidate, but there are a few others that are 50/50 for selection, and others who could have the Māori lifeline (overlooked but not completely).
Paywalled

Also:
Speaking of new caps... more breaking news for you...
Stuff understands Highlanders halfback Folau Fakatava will be named, while Blues duo Stephen Perofeta and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will be there as well.
Not shocking that revelation, he probably guessed and hopes he's correct

Youtube comments are not impressed with this.

This is why it's here:
These squad announcements have been taken around various venues in recent years. With the majority of players in last year’s squad identifying as Māori or Pasifika, the All Blacks wanted to do something which recognised how special how that culture is to their players and community.
Members of the community, school kids and former All Blacks have been invited along to show what the legacy of the jersey means and how important family and culture is.

Am all good with that, even the performance going on now. Keep religion out of it.
