It’s a very good lineup. An abrasive pack with a couple of high skill players in Sami and PGS.
Ioane isn’t great under the high ball and he’s not a hit the line with pace sort of fullback, but he does have a good kicking game and given it’s likely to be ugly weather that kicking / territory game will be critical.

Finau to fold Mo'unga inside the first 10 minutes, forcing him from the field. Chiefs win by 8

Ioane at fullback is a liability.
Nah, I think that is a good selection. I was surprised he wasn't there last week.
Dyer for Moli is a good move too, as I have highlighted Moli's scrummaging problems.
Yep - happy with Dyer there. Very pleased Finau is starting - with a chance for him to rattle Mo'unga and Havili. Thought Narawa would go to wing for ENS, but am happy otherwise.

It's the Chiefs, so it will be as illegal as fuck, but ruled penalty only!

I wish we had Ethan.
We have them covered from 10-15, but those forwards could trouble us a lot!

A bit more about the Chiefs selections:
Emoni Narawa has been ill all week, which sees Josh Ioane promoted to take his place at fullback, and Chase Tiatia come onto the bench, while former All Blacks prop Atu Moli makes way for George Dyer, who will earn an eighth appearance on the pine in what McMillan labelled “a bit of a hunch” selection.
All Blacks lock Josh Lord is still sidelined by a knee injury, but should be available next week should the Chiefs make the final.

@Chris If Jager was selected would he be the most recent foreign AB since Steve Devine? (excluding PI nations)
If you are just talking about foreign born outside of PI then Akira Ioane as he was born in Japan,Or Tyrel Lomax born in Australia
Finlay Christie debuted after Akira

Yes you are right

@Nevorian So Samisoni Taukei'aho is the most recent foreign born AB.
So Taukei'aho the last foreign born.
Frizzell the last born overseas and turned up as an adult.
Rawlinson last the born overseas and turned up as an adult not from the PIs.Do we have any other categories?

Was still a poach. Recruited after touring NZ as captain of Tonga U15.
Yeah, wasn't claiming he wasn't, just differentiating from the adult arrivers - Fakatava will likely be our next one (schoolboy not adult).
