@Kid-Chocolate Calgary is choking. The kings played better against the oilers.

Probably the nastiest rivalry I’ve seen, in any sport. I loved that Red Wings team, and I always hated Claude Lemieux. Really looking forward to the upcoming doc.
-
@Kid-Chocolate he was nasty but a gamer.

I was looking for the clip when Cherry roasted him for costing Canada a World Cup, but couldn’t find it. But I did find this! Watch the whole thing. “The Turtle” and “The Caterpillar.”
And you have to love the comment about old-time hockey Bill Barber (Flyers) being the “best in the world” at diving, but at-least he had honour because he didn’t lay on the ice rolling around when the ref didn’t call it. Still some of the best commentary of all time!

Avalanche score with 5 seconds left in regulation after trailing in 3rd to eliminate Blues.

@Kid-Chocolate I’ll look at it. You have a dearth of information at your disposal.

Rangers d. Carolina in Game 7 to advance against Tampa. Let’s Go Rangers!

So, it’s the Lightning vs Avalanche in the Cup final. I’ll watch it, but not happy about either team being there. Go Avs, I guess?
-
Coolest trophy in sports has stories to tell.

Game 1 overtime. 2nd Lightning goal is a beauty. I watched the American broadcast live; the highlight reel comes from the Canadian commentary.
-
Avalanche are now 13-2 in the playoffs. Wins are now habits and legs are fresh.
Avs outshot Lightning 38-23. This will be the series — most of the play will be controlled by Colorado in Tampa’s blueline, and Lightning will try to rely on goalie to rescue their asses.

Game 2 annhilation. Champs are on the ropes.
-
@Kid-Chocolate Didn’t see the game but I heard it was 7 0 at the end of the second. Colorado has this series wrapped up.

I thought after Game 1 that it would be Avs in 5 games. But they return to Tampa; they are resilient and have been counted for dead several times the past three years; and they are two-time defending champs. So if there’s a pulse, they’re still alive.
