    @FakatavaFuture im assuming he just needs a rest, i think he's played most games, may have also clicked he's a midfielder or not at all and TUJ/Timu works better

    I will be interested to see how LCF goes at fullback, as I think that could be his best position.

    @FakatavaFuture

    The outlook is better for Scott Gregory, who misses the Rebels game due to the flu but should be available next week.

    I think a better combo than Marty Banks!

    “It’s a pretty good idea having old Aaron Smith and Folau Fakatava as a 9 and 10 combo,” Hall said of the idea, which was initially floated by host Ross Karl.

    “We’ve seen it [TJ Perenara has played 10 for the Hurricanes and All Blacks] and I think nobody would have thought Gilbert was going to be able to play 10, with Hunty [Mitch Hunt] being there.

    “Would not be surprised if Tony Brown chucked out something, the two 9s playing 9 and 10.”

    The left-field halves combo the Highlanders could use against Rebels

    A Super Rugby Pacific star has put forward an outlandish solution to the Highlanders as they face a shortage of first-five options this week.

    They read the fern! I suggested this before Gilbert got selected there.

    Tony Brown must be thinking there is no need for a first five anymore. Aye @Bones 😀

    @SouthernMann for a guy that has played NZ7s, he seems to have zero ability to beat a man, last year at least he had good leg drive and got the gain line while buying time for his support too, this year, bar maybe 1 or 2 games, he has offered buggar all going forward, and even his straight on defence has been suspect, again, somerhing that was a strength.

    Nothing clear and obvious about being in touch. It's a try.

    Good call.

    I think the ball got down slightly before the foot - but by a fraction. Blow trying to ref that in realtime
