What a screwed up rule .. so someone in the crowd can hold the ball until the goal kickers time has lapsed…another bizarre rule 🤦🏻
Do you have to use the same ball that the try was scored with to kick the conversion?
Yes since before 2011 RWC for sure
Cheers, never knew that. Knew about the time limit.

As I mentioned above, England team member for fined for supplying Wilkinson with nice dry balls during 2011

Can remember a league test in Palmerston North where the ball went missing for about 3 or 4 minutes ..

Didn't read your post above. Makes sense why they have to use the same ball. I was wondering what the point of that rule was

Jesus's that's ridiculous
Upright in the tackle 🤣 what a load of shit - he almost fell over!
-
What's he supposed to do with the sudden change of direction etc? ... But YC for consistency in this day and age...

they almost ran out! None were coming back to the game

I don't like that reasoning, the answer is not make a dangerous tackle. However if a guy nearly falling over is considered upright then there's something wrong.
-
The Force kicker looks a bit 'special' when he kicks for goal.
-
@Mattasaurus If you arent in a position to make a safe tackle you don't make a tackle, obviously.

@Bones I also dont like that it is called 'foul play'
To me, foul indicates dirty play
High tackles were pretty dirty in my day 😁

@Bones well, with your lid I expect people were trying to improve it
They would've had quite the challenge on their hands.

Watch it at normal speed...
Certainly no malice.. Not deliberately head hunting..
Im guessing it's being implied that he was beaten, therefore shouldn't attempt the tackle.. As he wasn't going to be able to get low enough.
