You would hope that Bracewell and CdG are floaters and will bat ahead of Latham if the top order fires.

Max keeps his world record of zero international ducks alive by getting off the mark.

    I've never had one either.

@nzzp Never too late to start! He's had 50 odd internationals now though so some catching up to do

O'Dowd out now as gloved one down the legside. 9/1

After watching quite a bit of cricket on Sky, watching this Spark cricket is hopeless in comparison.

Watching through TAB app and they don't have the commentary. ha ha!

Has this just changed in NZ for this series? Just asking as it appears we have the same comms team in AUS that we had for the recent tests.

    @jk Could be a very short game - NED 45/5 after 13

The Dutchies are making you eat your words.

    What a partnership.

Who the fuck are these guys though ? Bring back minnows I know like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Oh hang on, Bangladesh beat us. Stink.

Some interesting stats from Francis Payne in a Twitter thread in response to 'why we need to play the Netherlands' - I didn't know about the planned tour with Bradman that never was...

I used to enjoy when they interviewed Francis Payne on the Dilmah tea party. Definitely on some sort of spectrum but what a fountain of knowledge he is !

@mn5 I watched Rippon bowling for Otago earlier this season and he is really handy. A left arm wrist-spinner - not many of those around.

Could even potentially have been a useful option for NZ, but I guess he'd now have some sort of stand down period.

    No stand down.
Playing for an associate doesnt affect qualification for full member countries.

As if we as a cricketing nation would ever stoop to poaching players of any sort of dutch origin.

At 52/5 I put a bit of cash down on the Dutchies not making 115.
And then decided to temper my arrogance with a bit of a mitigating bet... even more on them just not making 151.

    Fuckers.

These two rollicking along ok, both eying unbeaten scores I’d imagine.

By massive irony I just realised I typed this with the score on 111/1

He was actually born in SA so would probably fit right in.

It's OK - the Dutchies have largely poached him.

He's mainly a Jaapie so perfectly fine for us!
