@nzzp WI aren't guaranteed to be in the semis. They will be cheering for SA to beat India. Otherwise WI are gone too. Their loss to Pakistan could prove fatal.
true.
Was looking at it from our perspective, so ignored them as we couldn't catch them. Fair poitn.

So Bob Carter gets to go back to working at a higher level at NZC... talk about failing upwards: https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/women-in-sport/128180263/disappointing-world-cup-tournament-not-the-reason-for-bob-carters-white-ferns-exit

Perhaps a TSF collective application, with a CV outlining our track record of brilliantly conflicting advice from our respective couches? WHITE FERNS Head Coach (flexible location)

I’ve watched a few of the games and highlights of a few others, some quality cricket.
But surely this is one of the longest cricket tournament’s ever?

Yep, by the standards of some of the past mens CWC's, this almost seems like a short tournament.

Pity they couldn't have played the games in Summer instead of early Autumn

Architects of our own demise, but - aside from Australia - we didn't need much to change to turn 3 wins and 3 close losses into 6 wins and qualifying comfortably.
In the end, 3 wins was enough for the Windies to qualify with the help of some well timed rain.
Basically, Australia's tournament to lose - I doubt the Windies has the firepower to trouble them.
England vs SA will be interesting.
