2 Eklund over Roose
7 Papalii over Carter
8 Akira Ioane over Rush
9 is a toss up, but Christie would be better in a big game, as Tonu'u was prone to errors (see 2018 final!)
13 Clarke was very underrated (especially by Hart), but Rieko Ioane probably takes that oneAgree with the rest, but I'd move Clarke to 12. Clarke & Ioane midfield
that would be delicious

Kind of amazing that Hart ignored Tony Marsh and Eroni Clarke, but went for guys like Mark Ranby, Mark Mayerhofler (so bad!), and moved Cullen into centre.
Prior to coaching the ABs in 1996, he published an autobiography that stated that he thought an AB coach should only be there for two year periods. He was right about himself!

Ranby was not an All Black under Hart, I think he went on a NZ Baabaas tour though?

its a AB coaches resignation letter, moving a form 15 to the midfield, also see Mils, Macdonald and Smith
.....its will work with jordie though.....

I wonder if crowds will be allowed at Forsyth Barr?
Can they argue it's outdoors as it has openings?
They wont be watching anything this week anyway probably

no, no, that's going to 13.
12 is a totally different story

As much as I have laughed at the Jordie to 12 cohort (mainly because he never plays there) I would actually like to see it.
I think Jordan needs to play looser than we require at 15 so he can stay on the wing and Perofeta can play fullback (or go whole hog and get Zarn Sullivan in there)(more one for the ABs thread but following up on the comment above)

Moana Pasifika said it remained committed to limiting the number of supporters in the interests of public safety. "We always intended to stick with our small bubbles of 100 (to a maximum of 900), regardless of any government announcement,'' a Moana Pasifika spokesperson said. "This is because we are conscious of our Pasifika fan base in South Auckland and note that Covid is still rampant in our communities, who are most vulnerable. "Despite the change, we will also be keeping our Tuesday match at limited capacity.'' The Highlanders will host the Blues in Dunedin on Saturday afternoon. Stuff was seeking clarity from the Highlanders as to whether capacity crowds would be allowed into Forsyth Barr Stadium, the only enclosed venue in New Zealand.

That's a yes for crowds in Dunedin
The zoo will be feral. Loads of 'free' O week tickets to use up.

will be awesome. Crowds really really lift a sporting event and the players

@stargazer both of those teams would absolutely murder their current counterparts.
The Highlanders even had Tony Brown and Byron Kelleher on the bench.
Notable names on the Blues bench were TSF favorite, Caleb Ralph, Andrew Blowers and Craig Innes(first season back from league).

Good game. They didn't mention that this was the semifinal.
Highlanders would have won if the lock (can’t remember if Timmons or Blaikie) hadn’t dropped the ball. So much more quality across the park across all teams in 1998.

I'm really not sure that is true, I think the fact that professionalism is so far advanced, it has really shown the massive difference between players. So many sports are now dominsted by absolutely phenominal athletes, whereas competition and upsets were much more common. I think that is a factor of professionalism really meaning the best are so much better than the good. Whereas the difference did not used to be so apparent

It was Timmins. All he had to do was catch the ball and dive over the line.
