40m dead cap. Almost 20% of the total cap.
Baker still on the market but that's about it. Saints signing Winston to a 2 year deal. Can't see Baker moving anywhere now, and Jimmy will presumably stay at the 49ers. Maybe the Panthers might a move for one of them. Don't think either is a clear upgrade on Darnold though. Small improvement probably but they're probably better off with the picks and cap space. Very small chance that the Seahawks make a move. They seem happy with what they've got and more likely to treat Lock as a bridge while they develop a rookie.
Other than that, looks like the QB market is pretty much settled until draft day.

@cyclops NFL changes quick. Not that long ago Baker and Darnold were battling to be the number 1 overall draft pick.
Goes to show how tough it is to pick a top QB. I think scouts tend to focus too much on the physical gifts and less on the mental and character side. But I would imagine it is difficult to assess that in a 20 year old

You could argue it either way. The two best QBs out of that Draft were the two most physically gifted QBs (Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson).
Considering the Browns history Baker did ok but he was always a weird choice for 1 overall - he was small, not an elite athlete and not a huge arm. In fairness there wasn't a slam dunk choice though as they were rightly wary of Darnold and Rosen.

Lamar has to get busy in the playoffs. Allen looks to have a great chance to get a championship to Buffalo finally, especially if the Bills keep spending up to strengthen for next season

Mayfield turned the Browns around - by personality, not by skill. If he doesn't go there, the Browns don't land Watson (or many of the other pros who wound up there).
So, as a pure QB, not that great. As a 1 pick for Browns, he was a massive win and got them credible again

This feels significant?
Every other team in the Division is adding tools. KC just sold one of their biggest
Seriously, their offence is Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill. This is a huge move.

excellent call
It's astounding he didn't get his comeuppance in a dramatic "half time in the final" locker room showdown

Be a test of 'Andy Reid is an offensive genius' theories that's for sure. It's yet another strong wide receiver class so the chiefs might be backing themselves to find and develop a guy. A massive haul especially compared to what the Brown paid for Cooper.
Be interesting to see how Hill goes with Tua, he's struggled with the deep ball so does that affect Hill?
