appealing for a run out when you never touched the ball though
That kinda sucked. Not cool.
Who tried that one on? Same player?
Our captain wasn't it?
Edit: Devine

Nah... a kiwi lass... can't remember who.
I can kinda buy that some batsmen/batspeople can't tell if the ball nicked the bat, or not. But you can't really get confused whether a recently smacked cricket ball hit/grazed one's fingers. -
Aha:
13.2 Devine to Wolvaardt, no run
Drilled back to hit the stumps at the non-striker's stump and they're checking if Devine got a finger or two and if Brits was inside the crease. New Zealand aren't looking excited so may not be a wicket at all. Wolvaardt struck it very hard back, and replays show Devine didn't get anything on it

Is the fielding always this atrocious?
Yeah... I mean, the phrase "throw like a girl" didn't pop out of nowhere.
The whole tournament's been a weird mixture of atrocious and brilliant fielding. -

Nicely done.
@nzzp disappeared, I had to do something, desperation.

I watched three of the first maybe six games on my third screen while at work. I reckon I saw more dropped catches in those three games than about five seasons worth of watching mens cricket. It was incredibly substandard fielding.
I think I saw two sixes across three games.
I like that the sport is getting mainstream coverage, but the above is also the reason why I doubt it'll ever come close to parity with mens cricket.

Stopped watching. The things I do for Polish chicks on the internet.
Anyway, don't worry, sa all over this, hardly worth watching -
The other cringey thing was the commentators being apologetic about Covid-19 being the reason for there being 200 people in the crowd for something like South Africa v Bangaldesh, as if it would have been a sell out without any restrictions.
I expect NZ games would have had an okay attendance, but the others?

To be fair to the commentators, just prior to the tournament the organisers cancelled and refunded all the Venue packs that they'd sold about a year ago, and then three days later they tried to get us to buy family passes to the individual games at effectively three and a half times the price that we'd already paid - and for school day games. Thanks but no thanks CWC organisers... we didn't take them up on it...

Feck. Got to at least bat out your overs, and we didn't do that...
Yep, dumb batting at the end. Even 4-5 singles per over gets NZ another 10 runs. But nah, let's go for the big shot...
Honestly, NZ didn't deserve to win. Tahuhu might be quick but has absolutely no control.

I stopped watching for a bit but why wasn’t our most economical bowler bowled out?
Probably for the same reason our best bowler over the last two years wasn't selected for the tournament. The White Ferns brains trust is a misnomer sometimes...
