The Auld Alliance match is a great weekend in Edinburgh.
Countries joined by the love of whisky and the hatred of the English.
Pretty sure that’s all rugby playing nations?
This one transcends rugby.

Edinburgh back-row Nick Haining moves into the starting XV for the Murrayfield clash and will play on the blindside, with Rory Darge switching to openside flanker. And colossal over estimation of their relevance in their political jurisdictions ….
Whisky not something that jumps out to me with the French. Is this a thing?

French fans have taken over Murrayfield

Yep. Frogs love a good scotch
France is(maybe was) Scotland’s largest export market for whisky.
NB: historically the political relevance was massive. Kept England in check for a very long time.
