It took Flem from 1994 to the final test of 2001 to chalk up three test centuries. Conway has three in barely half a year. Class.

I call rubbish, but I know it isn't as you wouldn't just post that stat by making it up!

It still seems rubbish though 🙂

McCullum was much quicker it only took from 2004 to 2009.

I can believe that thought batting at 6&7 early in his career in average Black Caps team.

Fleming had such an unusual career. Nine tons but 46 50s !

Just as well the first three scored so much, the last seven may score 80 between them

Very fitting that Taylor finishes his career as he started... swatting across the line!

Bugger, 99 not out. Might be a tough sleep tonight

With the composure Conway has reckon he won't be too worried... can't see him chasing anything early, he'll let the bowlers bowl to him, they only have to bowl one middle & leg & he'll work a single on the leg side.

Great call. Ton number three for Conway woooooooo ! First ball of the day too !!!!

Yeah, top record by Conway so early in his career - frustrating that he got run not, he looked set for a really big one... after such a great platform we're losing too many wickets, need to get a good partnership going again.

I’m not sure how 414-4 can be considered disappointing…..but after yesterday it really is.

If we get close to 600 today we can go all out and knock them out in a couple of days. Bowlers will be keen to make amends

That's right, after such a brilliant start we're taking the foot off the throat a bit.

Since a lot of them appear to be following last weeks effort.., Im picking 475 all out, what a waste of an amazing first day

Interesting morning of cricket when the app eventually behaved. In some ways a parallel now with the first innings of the first test... the massive improvement being a huge Captain's knock from Tom Latham.

Disappointing to lose 4 wkts in that session,
Once again it puts the importance of your tail being able to contribute.
We need to make 600 here, 7 down need to show some ticker and contribute,I don’t want to see a 3rd rubbish performance in a row by the lower order.
Disappointing for Latham after he has batted for 8 hours so far.

How long should we bat - if we get the choice? Or to put it another way, at what score should we cut loose and just try and score as quickly as possible. Ordinarily I think an hour after tea is ideal to declare. In this case I think that's an hour too long.

I tend to think we should not want to bat long after tea. Inclement weather forecast and a pitch that is still doing something suggests to me we should be putting the hammer down risking not getting quite as many as we would like.

Blundell has his average back above 30 again. Blast as many runs as possible till tea seems like a good plan now. Only caveat is if Latham can (quickly) get close towards the next milestone...

That does appear to be what they are doing. Both batsmen looking positive in the last few overs.

yeah, but looked like they had pushed the "go" button, could be some big swings from here on out..

probably didn't want any milestone from him being an issue either
