Listen without prejudice is still a great album to listen to

As long as it’s “without prejudice”…..

George did some cool tracks back in the day, no doubting it.

I won’t say anymore, the thread police might delete my posts for talking too much.

Another Loggins link to this this thread is that he wrote Poison's awful future hit song Your mama don't dance when he was a teenager.

After the Jam I don't think most of his fans thought Style Council were cool

But I like this song. Shout to the top and long hot summer too

I like UK sophisto-pop, but the Style Council were a bit too generic blue-eyed soul - especially when compared too their contemporaries.

Were EBTG in that category? Were they considered cool?

I love this song though. And driving as well

@canefan Early on they started off as sophisto-pop (with a bit of bedsit) , but most of their career was in electronic music. Like that track you posted. They were almost the height of London cool for a while. I went to one of Ben Watt's Black Fly (?) club nights at some stage.

Always a big fan of George, fantastic voice.

Definitely better than those other gays Freddy Mercury and Elton John

In his prime, George Michael was the new Elvis. A staggering talent. RIP.

Was at the supermarket the other day and Faith came on over the loudspeaker. Couldn't help but sing along and embarrass the kids. What a great song.

That album was also excellent. I remember a doco that mentioned the scandal when Faith won awards in the pop music and Black Music categories at the Grammys (?)

To think these two songs were released at about the same time. Just brilliant
