Ha, what a jinx from me, beautiful bowling Patel !!!!!!! Ashwin gone, Sharma won’t hang around.

    mission accomplished 😃

Well, 2-90 is better than 0-90.

The other two better pull finger in the next innings.

I'm just gutted that Jamison wrecked his figures.

Only wrecked by his amazing early career standards. He did ok.

Holy shit how good was Southee though ? What an old pro.

Sharma is a pretty bog standard pace bowler. Nothing that special. I thought he averaged late 20s or so but 32 isn’t amazing. Weird cos I’m sure I remember him giving Ricky Ponting all sorts of trouble when they played years back.

Gotta love the Police siren when anyone bowls a no ball. It’s very “Indian”

Only five Black Caps have played in India and the batting stats are ugly reading……KW with the highest average at 35……the kind of shit the bobs and vagene squad cream themselves over in between sending messages to “cutiez” online.

I thought Southee actually bowled well yesterday (despite his injury) for lesser reward.
Jamieson's figures today reasonably reflect the quality of the bowling (some good deliveries mixed with more average ones).

That makes 2 saves for Latham due to inside edges. The first one was hard to spot but really the umpire should have seen the second one.

Latham and Young through to tea. Young in particular looking very comfortable.

That's a dream start on a pretty dodgy pitch. The variable bounce is somewhat offset by how slow the pitch is, but it always feels like one with your name on it will be around the corner.

Still a mammoth task ahead, as we need a significant first innings lead to stay in the match really, we don't want to be chaing more than 100 batting last on this pitch.

Young and Latham can take a fucking bow, that's an absolutely huge effort to get through to stumps no wickets down. Honestly being rolled for 120 odd was not off the cards on a dodgy Indian pitch against an onslaught of spin, so 129/0 is an amazing result.

Still... a big ask again tomorrow to knock off the deficit, but they've got us back in the game.

How many DRS saves is that for the match? 6? 7?

    Seems a lot.

Fair to say that some have been close but ...
