This pair have taken the game away from us. We needed a fat first innings lead to compete, and it's not really on the cards now.

Pitch won't get better. Southee injury a disaster in a hot tour; but Kylo is extraordinary.

No, this isn't the type of pitches that will have a draw.

Unfortunately , looks like we will let India bat for about 5 of the 6 sessions that the pitch will behave.

It will get ugly, I'm afraid.

Yeah we are a bit fucked, the toss was absolutely critical, and we just can't afford to have a bowler injured in these conditions. Going to be an extremely tall ask on our batsmen to grind out a big total, going to need both Kane and Ross to come to the party.

Given that the Indians have been kind enough to offer up a well less than full strength team for the series, we do seem to be wasting the opportunity so far.
In saying that their debutant looks very handy.

He bowled later in the day I understand, got thorugh 16 overs or so
