What are you listening to, right now................

Every man for himself
Statistically more people survive if they think
Only of themselves
Do not attempt to rescue friends, relatives, loved ones
You have only a few seconds to escape
Use those seconds sensibly or you will inevitably die
Do not panic
Think only of yourself -
Probably a niche post... For those who enjoyed the Mutton Birds back in the day, Facebook has just put a new Don McGlashan single in front of me. A little bit of a nostalgic sound to it, with Kiwi summer lyrics rather than a White Valiant in it.
Hi everyone.
Auckland stores are open! Yesterday Mitre Ten New Lynn's storage aisle was filled with rapturous couples finally buying the bucket that they've been discussing for three months of lockdown.
Outside, Summer turned its dial up to 11. And today we're releasing Go Back In, the second single from Bright November Morning. Check out Kristina Simons's beautiful new lyric video for it attached.
We're also adding a date to the February tour - Friday Feb 11th at Queenstown's Sherwood, one of my favourite venues.
Talk soon,
Don

Somehow I think this video encapsulates @MN5 's car sing alongs (including dashboard drumming)
I prefer Kim Wildes version.
Fair play Maradonna was a cracking axe man

I always thought that U2 was Adam Clayton's first band as well.
I did see a theory that Animal from the muppets was modelled on this guy too.

No one will know what you’re talking about though cos that chat got deleted for some reason
Fair play Maradonna was a cracking axe man
I just googled these guys, a huge influence on Deep Purple apparently.

@mn5 I am surprised you haven't heard of Tim Bogert. He and Carmine Appice played in Cactus, and with Jeff Beck.
I have heard the name ( google tells me he died earlier this year ) but didn’t put two and two together.
You’ve given me some stuff to listen out for though. Jeff Beck generally played with other good musos that were highly regarded but not household names.
What I find realty interesting is that apparently Beck never improvised with his guitar playing like so many others. Apparently every single note was meticulously planned beforehand.
I always think it’s a bit of a shame he was never the guitarist in a band fronted by a massively popular and talented singer cos he is in my opinion the second best axeman who has ever lived ( with all due respect to EVH who is obviously in the mix )

He was the Randy Savage of rock ‘n roll.
