    Nick Bryant so inconsistant at the breakdown , he rewards Tucker in the first half when he not only came in from the side but was’nt supporting his own body weight and the pings Segnar for what looked like perfectly good steal..

    That pass from Messam was sexy. Anticipation pass.

    The other angle looked obvious to me.

    Segner's forearms were clearly on the ground.

    Right call but they were only for a second, normally that wouldn't be called for that.

    @antipodean Tucker was not even supporting his own body weight in the first half little alone from behind the ruck

    My takeaway from this match was not that Waikato won it, rather Ta$man lost it.

    Well done Waikato.

    Literally thrown away - twice to Sullivan and at the final lineout.

    Ah well, all good things come to an end.

    They got a penalty with a minute to go - I assumed they'd run the clock and then knock it over in Refs time.

    a lot closer than that in the end! Wow, back to back penalties could have been massive there

    @chris-b i would’nt be too down, when you consider the cattle you did not have at your disposal its pretty impressive and some of the young guys that the Mako have bought through means your always gonna be there or there abouts ..As a Taniwha supporter i will take solace that our only win of the season was over 2021 champions lol
    Credit to Waikato though, they have had to introduce a lot of young guys and sense these 2 teams will have some great contests moving forward

    @steven-harris I'm not too despondent.

    To be honest, some of our shit performances earlier in the season didn't really warrant us being champions again.

    A season that will stand us in good stead for the future, though. Lots of young guys blooded.

    Three-peat was definitely on though if we'd not thrown wild passes into the midfield!

    Merry Christmas Waikato!!! 🙂

    Edit - and well done the Taniwha.
