You're probably correct.
That would be terrible for his development though. He needs a full season at 12 if he's going to be an option to start for the AB's

Mo’unga has a clause in his contract which allows him to take an extended off-season ... While Mo’unga’s status isn’t yet clear, the other Crusaders All Blacks are expected to front from round one, as are the four other Kiwi franchise’s representatives -

Playing some first five probably won't hurt him and arguably beneficial having time as first receiver. Fullback won't help so much.

Yep that does happen.
I think the same way about the two young props, although I can't see either looking elsewhere. The huge quality gap at prop indicates that we should start developing Williams and Newell sooner rather than later.

@yeetyaah Some Cantab on here trashed the Blues a while back for choosing to sign veteran Romano after they lost 3 locks from last season, saying that the Saders would never do that because of their quality production line of new young talent. Then - Hickey.
(He will probably now kick the winning penalty to beat my team - serves me right). -
