Crusaders 2022

In reality, lots will be dictated by who gets injured, but even if no-one does there will be lots of swapping about.
The top backline will likely end up being: Drummond, Mo'unga, Leicester, Havili, Goodhue, Reece, Jordan
But we'll probably see Havili at 1st five and maybe fullback as well, Goodhue at 2nd five, Leicester at centre and Jordan on the right wing.
George might defend his left wing vs Leicester and I reckon we'll also see him at fullback.
And Ennor will probably play both centre and wing.
Other outside backs will be probably part time soldiers until injuries mount or depending on absences.

You're probably correct.
That would be terrible for his development though. He needs a full season at 12 if he's going to be an option to start for the AB's

Fihaki will cover FB when Jordan is rested, time to give him some game time ,
He is a real talent and needs the time on the field to get to the next level.
Razor rates him very highly expect to see him more than last season. -

@chris Better than Burke.
I think thatβs the thinking along with fitting in all the AB backs they have.
-
Moβunga has a clause in his contract which allows him to take an extended off-season ... While Moβungaβs status isnβt yet clear, the other Crusaders All Blacks are expected to front from round one, as are the four other Kiwi franchiseβs representatives

Are all you Crusaders fans excited about getting Simon Hickey next year ππ
I am. No idea why he hasn't been an AB.

He'll have, arguably the greater honour, of appearing @ACT-Crusader AB selections next year.

Playing some first five probably won't hurt him and arguably beneficial having time as first receiver. Fullback won't help so much.

One problem with the Saders being so stacked is that there comes a time when young players will need to look for game time (I hope as I look at the glaring hole at 15 for the Chiefs).

Yep that does happen.

I think the same way about the two young props, although I can't see either looking elsewhere. The huge quality gap at prop indicates that we should start developing Williams and Newell sooner rather than later.

Shirley they will get more game time this year. Haven't we lost two props who got good game time from last year?

@yeetyaah Some Cantab on here trashed the Blues a while back for choosing to sign veteran Romano after they lost 3 locks from last season, saying that the Saders would never do that because of their quality production line of new young talent. Then - Hickey. (He will probably now kick the winning penalty to beat my team - serves me right).
