There appears to be unusual obsession with the intergluteal cleft in a number of posts…

Referee was fine overall but that TMO can suck a dick, not every little decision needs to be looked at for 5 minutes you fluffybunny. Also, that was not a YC for Taylor (probably didn't change the result, though).
Jonathan Sexton looks like a perpetual 12 year old whiny little neighbor's boy, David Havili and Rieko Ioane aren't a midfield's butthole. The TV perspective on Akira try is very deceptive, because a line ball would look forward from the angle, which this ball did.
Clear and obvious? Only to those with no grasp of geometry.

@gt12 offocial has been pedantic ,but you cant deny the All Blacks have been totally outplayed..
In fact the score is flattering
My underlying thoughts ,players like Aki ,Gibson Park and lowes who would not been in the All Black frame here in NZ have gone on to be world class players ,gotta say some there must be some great individual coaching going on in Ireland
Irelands victory in my opinion was more impressive than the Springboks victory over the All Blacks ..
Won all the big moments ,ball retention and movement was next level
And defensively they stuck so much pressure on the All Blacks . -
I lost sight of Dalton and Richie in the last few minutes - were they still on?
I see Ardie got isolated again after one of his runs, I think the loose forwards have trouble keeping up with him but I don't think the balance works well with him and Akira on together at 6 and 8. I think I prefer Akira to start over Ethan to wear them down, he did use his bulk well and I thought that failed try was just one of those things.
I wanted RIoane to succeed at 13 because of his pace but he just doesn't seem to have the execution, legs are fast, arms (passes) seem to hesitate and his passing accuracy can go awol.
We really have a serious depth problem at midfield.
And I saw BBBR toiling hard but he and Sam are getting older and slower, we need one faster lock. And I don't want to see Lomax at prop again. That was a huge, costly and unnecessary mistake. -

@victor-meldrew We need someone like Robertson. He knows how to get the best out of players.
On that we agree. Foster has done some good stuff this year but this game and the game against the Boks show that we need more change in the coaching set up as the big boys have worked out how to rattle us and throw us off our game.
And Argentina last year under Foster.

This for me, is one of our darkest days.
We were absolutely pummeled. Ireland should have won by 50.
We showed zero grit, zero game plan and tried to show boat our way through it.Summed up my feelings perfectly - been like this since 2017.
We seem to go to shit when put under any kind of pressure - no bloody leadership or cool heads.

And the best part? Seeing fucking Lowe, Gibson Park jumping out of their fucking skins.
I am so fucking angry right now.
For me, I'm always only angry if I feel the other team didn't deserve the win, be it luck or refereeing. So, I can swallow the losses against the Boks, England in the RWC and Ireland now, a lot more, than some others (BIL 2017 - GGHHHRAAARRR!!!)

They lifted and got us back for the ABs dominating them in the RWC QF. A good rivalry

Firstly, well done Ireland. Deserved winners.
The problems for the ABs start up front. The starting front row were all poor and we lacked dominant ball runners in the loose forwards. Not starting Ioane, or bringing him on early in the 2nd half was a huge mistake. Play Coles and ST. Neither lock played well.
TJP is like a handbrake for the attack. Smith has to start against France. Havili doesn't look like a test 2nd 5.
This test has shown who shouldn't be in the team next week.

My concern is that Robertson won't make that much difference and we've effectively shared the headless-chicken stuff from the field to the coaches office.
Something has gone badly wrong in the last 4 years. The only good thing to come from this game is it might make people sit up and ask some hard questions - players, coaches and NZRFU management

I thought Moody tried hard across the field, Paps was solid in tackling.
I agree I think Coles is clearly ahead of Taylor (I don't know what has happened to his form). -

Just like Cane in the 2019 semi. And we've been getting it wrong ever since.

@nostrildamus Blackadder should have been subbed.
I can't believe that Christie wasn't brought on to provide something different.
-
Whitelock shouldn’t have opted for 3 when we were rolling.
Selections for this game were just absolute head scratchers.
TJ is an impact player not and 80min half back. Weber>TJ
Reiko is a wing. His passing and decision making simply have not progressed. He still makes poor reads at important stages and his accuracy is horrible. I don’t know if he has the ability to learn “care factor”.
I’ve had a problem with Havili from the start. It’s not the kicking, as poor as it was. He does not bend the line in the crash. He hits the line and makes no ground. We lose momentum and too often the ensuing ruck after he is tackled becomes a contest. He’s a very skilful player. I just don’t think he’s good enough to be an AB 2nd 5.
The pack. Poor all around. Our muscled and our worked. Whitelock and Retallick haven’t had less effective games in recent memory. Glimpses of Ardie but not enough to inspire the rest of the pack. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a tight five link as well as the Irish did. They played smart balling playing rugby. Something we used to be famous for.
We all knew. Apologists aside. We all knew Foster wasn’t shit. His game plan was fucked. It’s looked shaky all year. Cricket scores papered over the cracks. But from that SA game you knew something wasn't quite right. The Italian game confirmed it for me. The complete lack of cohesion, regardless of the combinations trotted out, was scary.
Lastly as much of a servant he has been to NZ, the canes and Wellington rugby. I don’t think I would care if TJ never played a game for the ABs again. He’s reached that stage that NZ halfbacks usually do where they think far too much at the base of the ruck. Fuck about and ultimately make a poor read or stifle our forward momentum.
