Hooker I hope Its Sam Moli he has a bit of size about him.
Harris could be available too.
He could be if the rumour about Thomson going to the Chiefs is true.

Thompson’s move has been confirmed by multiple commentators in different games so I suggest it’s true.

Ok well that frees up Harris maybe.

Heard Southland prop Chris Apoua will not be joining the Crusaders but will be heading to MP.

Ok thanks @Steven-Harris Probably Gives Finlay Brewis that last propping spot.

As long as we don't actually need to use him for a couple of years.

We shouldn’t need to he’s a LH so will sit behing Moody, Bower and probably Williams ,
As Williams can cover both sides of the scrum. If we go for a TH instead,Sam Matenga wouldn’t be a bad pick, I wouldn’t mind him either.

@chris I haven't been overly impressed with Brewis at NPC level. He'll doubtless come right, but he'd be another in what's becoming quite a long list who aren't really ready to take the field in Super rugby.
He’s young 21 I think, I guess it’s what Jason Ryan thinks he can become, instead of an established prop.Who might not have as much growth.
With two young props in Williams and Newell already an established prop could be the better bet ATM. -

@duluth it will be interesting to see what Razor does with Havili given he is the best fullback in our squad.
We will potentially have Havili, Goodhue, Ennor, Leicester for the midfield and Havili and Jordan for fullback and Bridge, Reece, Jordan and possibly Leicester for the wing.
I'll respond to this in the Crusaders thread
7 players. 5 spots in the starting xv. Probably only one bench spot. What would be your first choice assuming everyone is fit?
I would pick:
Havili/Goodhue midfield
Leicester/Reece wings
Jordan fullbackSo that leaves Bridge and Ennor fighting for the bench spot. A current AB would miss out on the 23
-
@duluth would love to see Havili/Goodhue get a good season together, but given some of the patterns Razor runs there could be a strong argument for Goodhue/Ennor too.
Not a huge fan of the latter as I’m not convinced of Goodhue at 12.
-
@act-crusader or Ennor at 13
-
I would like to see Leicester F given time at centre and put Ennor on the wing with Reece.
Hall
Mounga
Havilli
Leicester F
Ennor
Reece
JordanGoodhue to ease back in at 2nd five resting Havilli or when Mounga is rested by moving Havilli to First five for a couple of games.
-
In reality, lots will be dictated by who gets injured, but even if no-one does there will be lots of swapping about.
The top backline will likely end up being: Drummond, Mo'unga, Leicester, Havili, Goodhue, Reece, Jordan
But we'll probably see Havili at 1st five and maybe fullback as well, Goodhue at 2nd five, Leicester at centre and Jordan on the right wing.
George might defend his left wing vs Leicester and I reckon we'll also see him at fullback.
And Ennor will probably play both centre and wing.
Other outside backs will be probably part time soldiers until injuries mount or depending on absences.
