Yuk. Very lucky with that win. Could not win a lineout. Tongia could not handle. Ratima made a great break for winning try but I thought his timing was a bit off tonite so backs were out of synch. Leuila was the standout for me. Marshall is a step up at hooker. Ioane and Willie were great for Otago.

An ugly win, but a win nevertheless. A shame if MP aren't interested in Leuila as he has some talent.

I look at this season in 2 stages: pre-covid bubble and post-covid bubble. I wouldn't under-estimate the situation both Waikato and Northland have been in for the last 4-5 weeks. Some players have been away from their children in that time. So to finish 2nd after the round-robin is a good effort, whatever happens in the SF.
