Jonah had his own playstation game, cologne, burger and had to turn down a role in a bond film. That's as A list as possible for a kiwi on a worldwide scale.

you might be right, but then I dunno if many in NZ class anyone as A-listers, except some Z-listers who think they are A-Listers (Jeggas G/f Millie Holmes for example)

There's plenty of NZ X factor contestants, TV hosts, socialites and Mediaworks employees happy to take up that mantle.

I thought about both Sam Neill and Lorde and rejected the both.

Sam used to be through the Jurassic Park period, but he's semi-retired and if he's in big movies these days then it's surely cameo parts.

Lorde probably was for a while, but right now she seems like "That girl who used to sing Royals". She might be hanging out with Taylor Swft, but I reckon she's slipped down the pecking order. If the A-list is the Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise's of the world, then Lorde isn't going to cut the mustard. B-list for me.

I remember her and Lydia Ko won some sort of teenager of the year award and a mate of a mate shared all sorts of wank shit on facebook and got on the bandwagon of how proud he was of these awesome girls.....I pointed out that it was creepy that a bloke in his mid 30s was going on about this.

He then defriended me.

I think Russell is officially Australian now. Cliff Curtis is Mexican. I think... he's definately been Mexican in everything I've seen him in since Once Were Warriors. Except that time he was an Arab.

Maybe Lucy Lawless. Or the guys from the Concords. Tho' the fact I can't remember their names (Brett & ... ) isn't selling that. I'm sure they are A list in NZ tho'. Lorde would definately be A List. Tho globally some of that is due to hanging out with Tatylor Swift.

What about that bird that slept with Robbie Williams in 2000 and told everyone about it. She's about as A-List as it gets, isn't she?

    Re Lorde http://blkdontcrack.tumblr.com
The Little Richard comparison is perhaps s little harsh but all things considered fair.

In the US he'd maybe be known. In Oklahoma... outside the US. If I saw him I'd probably think "Is that Victor Matfield!? Steven Luatua after an illness?!" and be excited, and go "oh, nope just some tall no one"

It always astonishes me how much NZers follow basketball. Especially given we are largely a nation of not especially tall, built like brick shithouse people. Average NZ body shape is probably Piri Weepu.

Who's the NASCAR new zealanders that no one outside NASCAR has ever heard off & no NZer would recognise but has heard of? Dixon?

Dixon is indycars but I guess the point still stands I guess. If he was in formula 1 he'd probably be known worldwide .
