Joe Rogan, Parody of the Open Mind
“Culture war is exhausting and it corrupts how we think and feel in myriad bizarre ways. When I think of Joe Rogan and his podcast I think of a reasonably entertaining interviewer who asks some incisive questions, has some dopey opinions, and is really remarkable only in his huge audience and cultural impact. But of course our media hates him, passionately and performatively, which speaks to just how singular and important he’s become despite his fundamental ordinary-guy nature; his chronic unfussiness has led to a permanent state of fuss.”
Good read:

@antipodean and we think city centers are heavily covered with cameras. With all the home security systems a lot of the burbs is covered as well. Clearly no fucks given about that though!

The prosecution agreement, criticized for the way it let Boeing executives off the hook, was filed by the then-U.S. Attorney in the northern district of Texas, Erin Nealy Cox.
Cox left the Department of Justice after the agreement and in June joined Kirkland & Ellis, Boeing’s lead corporate criminal defense law firm. On Kirkland’s website, she was welcomed to the firm as a partner by Mark Filip, who had signed the DPA on behalf of Boeing.
Forkner’s indictment was filed by her replacement, acting U.S. Attorney Meacham.

I think he is definitely sniffing around.
It might depend on assessing how good a candidate the Dems put forward (assuming it won't be Biden because of age and Harris because of her ghastly personality)
It might help him that he is banned from Twitter.
Interesting trying to campaign when you are personally banned from both Twitter and Facebook for "inciting violence".
If he wants the nomination, it is not even close among Republicans - with DeSantis a distant second. -

Who predicts Trump will run again?
He will if it looks like he will win the primary.
Otherwise he’d have to claim another stolen election.
Republicans have been hard at work twisting the landscape to their advantage and are a very good chance in the main game. -

Why would they bother? It's Biden's incompetence, Harris being shown to be utterly out of her depth and Democrat in-fighting that's changed the landscape in a remarkably short period of time - and caused the US public to regret not voting for Trump.

It should be noted both parties do this.
Biden's staggering incompetence is something to behold.
The dude never takes questions - just turns and walks off.
Although he is kinder than Trump. - ha ha
I'd still prefer DeSantis though. -

Yep. She’s one weird system is the great American Democracy.

He is. Trump was/is definitely the worst blowhard, narcissist, liar. misogynist etc. in US history. We know this to be true as so many learned people in the press and elsewhere told us so....

It's not just the political system, it's the media as well.
Whether it's CNN simply making up anti-Trump conspiracy theories or newspapers refusing to report information on the Wuhan Lab leak theory as it might be seen to support Trump, or Fox News, they are equal causes of the mess.

Whilst I understand and to some degree accept your point about media and Trump, I wouldn't be dying on a hill defending his personality traits. His lack of class and dignity is pretty astounding and still has the ability to surprise me after all this time :

Oh, I wouldn't defend Trump any more than I'd defend Obama or Biden
I was pointing out in an oblique way that his opponents and most of media - with their confected rage and virtue - played exactly the same divisive games as Trump did and have caused equal damage to US politics.

Read some interesting comments that apparently Mitch McConnell is worried that Trump's continued harping about the last election is not only missing the key messages that should be making the most of Biden's low approval rates but is actively telling Republican voters that their votes aren't worth casting.
