I see we won both our matches during the international window.

I happened to turn on the TV with 20 mins to go against Bahrain and saw John Kirwan's son score the winner.

Yes, they were both good performances.

Not so much from Scotland who are currently battling against that powerhouse of international football, Faroe Islands. It's 0-0 after 85mins in tropical Torsvollurr (or somewhere like that...)
Update: Scotland have just scored. The Islanders aren't happy as there was more than a hint that it came off an arm, but VAR clears it.

I also see that Poland went up 0-1 v Albania and the fans started hiffing bottles at the Polish and the game has been halted

Women's football ferns have a new coach, young team beat the Korean Women's team tonight 2-0 after scoring a pair of rapid fire goals with less than 20 minutes. Great turnaround after an ugly first half for an injury riddled team

The European playoffs to qualify for the World Cup may be more exciting than the World Cup itself. One of Portugal or Italy won't make it but should get to play off head to head, Scotland may play Wales for a spot and the Russia/Poland/Sweden/Czech set is really touch to pick.
