    Picks for 266?

    Volkanovski v Ortega
    Shevchenko v Murphy
    Diaz v Lawler
    Blaydes v Rozenstruik
    Andrade v Calvillo
    Moraes v Dvalishvili
    Hooker v Haqparast
    Abdurakhimov v Daukaus

Not that confident about the main event though.

Volk is the most underrated champ but Ortega is a scary opponent. He can go from nothing to a submission so quickly. Also his striking has improved recently.

Plus Volkanovski has had a limited camp because of gov policies in Aus. If he turns up as well prepared as normal I'll back him to outlast Ortega and get a stoppage late

Shevchenko is the best female MMA fighter and she'll win however she wants

I hope Diaz puts up a good fight. The signs aren't looking good

Good matchup. I think Rozenstruik might be slightly underrated at the moment. Only lost against the two best fighters in the division. All depends on how he copes with Blaydes takedowns

A dangerous fight for Hooker. All the other ranked LW fighters don't want to fight.. they're waiting on the outcomes of some other matchups. So it's a big risk with little upside
Both fighters had visa issues and shitty travel itineraries. Hooker had some other external bollocks during his camp. I expect a pissed off Hooker to be more aggressive than normal

Hooker talking about visa issues/finding an opponent etc

He’s on the prelims so that’s on regular espn in NZ. Probably around 2:15pm on Sunday

Dominant performance from Hooker. The timing on those takedowns was great.

    Awesome performance from Volkanovski

3rd round was crazy. No one gets out of Ortega submission attempts. He does it twice in the round and still manages to win the round.
Ortega deserves credit for surviving the 4th

One of the best fights of the year

Diaz was slightly better than I was expecting. I was surprised that Lawler was so content to stay in range. Pleased with the Lawler win after Diaz switched weight classes

    Dvalishvili had a crazy comeback

    Great card

Quick turnaround for Hooker. He's fighting on the next PPV at the end of October

Islam Makhachev is a tough matchup. Striker v wrestler. There's been a lot of talk that people have been avoiding fighting him. I'm not convinced that's true.. I think the top 7-8 LW's have been fighting each other and Islam just wasn't in that group until recently

Big test for Islam too. Despite being highly rated, he's never fought anyone in the top 10

This means Hooker has no MIQ spot. I believe that's 5 CKB fighters currently in the US with no return date. CKB opening a US gym is looking even more likely

Fun fight in the weekend between Costa and Vettori. Amazed that Costa had enough gas in the tank to win the final round

Happy that Costa lost after the weight shenanigans. Adesanya mentally broke this guy

    @duluth Im a big fan.

He went through a bit of a cringe stage, i think maybe the ufc told him to be a heel, or something.

He looks liek hes in a good place right now. Hard fight for him, hope he gets it done

Such a gulf between Adesanya and the rest.

Great win, performance and sportsmanship from Caceres.

Mason Jones got his first win. One to watch hopefully.

Makhachev will get his title shot soon. That was impressive

Hopefully Hooker gets another fight this year

Dan Hooker did a test weight cut and he can still make 145. He has an enormous frame for that division

It was done at the UFC performance institute so I guess the UFC has plans for him at that weight. Holloway? Ortega?

It looks like fun card this afternoon. Well matched, entertaining fighters.. good for a non ppv event

Kiwi Brad Riddell is the co-main event and should be fighting around 6:15pm. It's another tough fight for him. Fiziev is a good striker, they are ranked about he same and they used to train together

Riddell has 4 UFC fights and they've all been difficult. He's lost the first round every time but gone on to win everyone. A likely candidate for fight of the night

I think Font might catch Aldo in the main event. Font has the power and I'm still suspicious off the weight cut Aldo is putting himself through

I really rate Jimmy Crute. Hopefully he comes back from the leg injury well
