I hope the IAAF got paid shedloads for Doha to host the world champs.
Doubt it's enough, though.
Forgot this championship was on. Totally overshadowed by RWC.
World Championships should have happened weeks ago and somewhere with a better climate for running and some fans to fill the stands.

@MN5 I think that record was set when jonah was at the blues, not sure about overlap with joeili or rupeni tho
I dunno if Rupeni had as much top end speed, he did get run down by a lock years ago which shocked everyone but obviously the power, step and swerve were amongst the best we've ever seen.
When he was fit he was as fast as anybody. That was a small window though
Yeah that 2003 season is probably still the best single season I've ever seen from a wing. The one handed pickup vs the Brumbies where he's running at full pace in the wet when others were struggling to just hold the ball is a particular favourite.
My favourite try of his. He glided back then.

Good day for NZers at the World Champs.
Both Walsh and Gill straight through to final.
McTaggart made the women's pole vault final, as did women's discus chucker, whose name escapes me.

I can't blame him because he didn't get much support from Athletics NZ.
Kiwi sprinter Eddie Osei-Nketia’s decision to pursue a career in American football has blindsided Athletics New Zealand (ANZ).
The 21-year-old, who smashed his father’s long-standing New Zealand 100m record this year (10.08sec), has joined the University of Hawaii football team, albeit without apparently speaking to the governing body first.

Ludicrous eh? My daughter runs the 1500m competitively so we follow Jess Hull on insta (seems like a total legend of a person) - she set a new Australian record in that race with a 3:57 and got beaten by the length of the straight!!!

Smashed it
