Pretty gutsy win by the Warriors.
Evans did his best to lose that one for us. He probably didn't deserve to get that 2nd yellow though.
Aitken and Curran looked good in the second row. Both went very well.
AFB and Lodge were big too. AFB was probably our best - ran for 227m.
Aitken looks a different player.
Agree on the 2nd yellow. Ironically Evans got slammed right before he got up and threw those couple of lefties on Chambers.
Funny how the winning points for us came on the back of a Sharks penalty. It’s usually us giving away points on penalties.

I have no problem with professional teams getting privileges with Covid. Being able to watch sport is helping to keep me sane(ish).

And there are benefits to the economy where games are hosted. Assuming they're not in lockdown of course

All irrelevant tho, at the time of the Wallbies getting in it was only cos we had that 1 week option for kiwis from some states to get to NZ quarantine free. Wallabies were one of those states so they got exemption to be upgraded to kiwi rules - now even kiwis have to quarantine 2 weeks no matter where in Oz they arrive from. NRL (not that we have the MIQ spaces until Dec anyway) teams would have to do the same - and they won't want that - 2 weeks in a hotel!

@act-crusader Yeah, Aitken looks impressive as an edge forward. Brown might have to keep him there next season.
I love the little wink he gives to Chambers after he scores.

Haha, I never noticed that live. Shows he’s got a little edge to him.

you know rugby league salaries are getting out of hand when Clint Gutherson wants a mill a year to play at Parra
Clint. Gutherson.
Wants a million a year.
Fucking. Lol.

fun game last night, Canberra threw everything at Melbourne, and at one point had the margin to 6 points
And i still never thought they would win.
Credit to the Raiders, they fair bashed the Storm, some solid hits. Until CHN got a bit excited and got a deserved red for smashing Hughes straight to the head. Both will have a couple of weeks off.

I enjoyed it too. Thought the Raiders had a chance but blew it with crucial errors. I like seeing how an old stager like Sam Williams can come back in and show his experience.

This isn’t a bad game this Broncos v Roosters.
Broncos up by 1 point with 3 minutes to go.
-
Clear contact to the head and Braith is like “you can’t give a penalty for that”. Funny as.
-
@act-crusader Anasta's a clown. Tries to be like Gus.

I don’t mind his analysis on other shows, but when he’s in the commentary box he gets boofheadish
Pretty crazy finish for a league game.
-
@act-crusader Think he makes an alright host when they've used him there recently.
Roosters a bit off colour tonight. Manu needed to get involved more I thought to try and help Tedesco out as they were heaviy reliant on him, and trying to score off every play wasn't helping their cause.
Good effort from the Broncs. It's a slow rebuild but with some of the young guys locked away and Haas leading the charge, there's a bit of light at the end of the tunnel for them I feel.

Turbo had another big game last night.
Not sure if we'll see another player put up the type of numbers he's putting up.
These are his stats in just 13 games:
19 tries
25 try assists
34 linebreak assists
20 linebreaks
77 tackle breaks
2760 running metres(212m per game)Just freakish numbers. Imagine if he didn't miss so many games.

Warriors looking sharp today. Feels like this could be a shootout though.
I like Walsh more and more every time he plays.
Not sure if there are any closet Jason "Costo" Costigan fans on here, but he's calling the game on SENZ today. I've managed to sync the radio call with my Sky Sport picture, so it's like a throwback to the 2000s.

Just to confirm, you're choosing to listen to Costigan?
Is he no longer as politician?

I reckon he's great. Adds something interesting to the commentary - better than McIvor, who they replaced him with, and any other of the generic commentators we've had since! I think his political career fizzled out.
Walsh got smashed in that late hit. He's tough as nails.
