Next medal events are Diving final and another sail race. Then track cycling.
Unlikely for medals in any of those
Track is in medal round so bronze is possible at least

Basically we just tried to follow GBR around the course, but GER sailed a braver race and went with splits to try and make something happen and ended up ahead of us...
Reasonable strategy but sounds like ultimately we needed to be a little bolder

Possible, but unlikely, fingers crossed tho!

I only saw the second half of the race. But we were never on the same side of the course as GBR. I'm not a sailor but that seems weird. Needed to treat it as a bit of match race. no?

Apparently NZ is like a minnow in Kayak racing going by numbers. A powerhouse in results in these events.
It certainly not rowing-like. As in clubs and schools, seeing crews actually practicing as part of normal life if you live or work near a harbour.
I guess some of the talent must be identified in surf lifesaving? As in that is a sport that actually has decent amount of youth going through it. Clubs in every coastal town and city.
Then pluck some young talent to hyper-specialisr for an olympic event?
Unless you live near Lake Pupuke maybe? Maybe its a different world around there?

Josh Junior a good chance for Bronze at the moment according to Peter Lester.

Watching the men's canoe sprints.
The Kiwi commentator obviously doesn't know that STP stands for Sao Tome and Principe. Looooong pause before just referring to them as STP again
They've dusted the cobwebs off John McBeth. The expert commentator is Ben Fouhy.
I'm watching a BBC broadcast I think. It's a pom and a kiwi.
Kiwi is Mark Watto DAMN HARD Watson

On Lisa's chinups (from 2012)
Yeah I’m still calling complete bs on that. She perhaps does a total of 30 during a workout but no freaking way is she doing 30 in a row.
But I would totally marry her. Absolutely adore women like her. Actual strong women, not the pearl clutching pretenders.

mens pursuit team should medal. Just need to get past the italians to get to the final. Only 200ths of a second behind them in the first round so defo doable

Yeah - I liked the look of us.
Italians looked like they're going to rely a lot on Ganna's power to get them home - but, we looked more of a team.
I quietly think we'll take them - but, if we don't we should have the measure of the Brits.
