Can't see it. Most glaring omission is Adams, so unless he's copped an injury, that selection is fucked. No Faletau or Simmonds? Nah. Lawes warrants a bench spot but no more. Owens is firmly third choice hooker in anyone's eyes.

I will buy* you a virtual beer if that is the side.

*Meaning that in reality I will do nothing of the sort. This is what virtual means in this instance.

    Virtual Bow & Black please

@sidbarret This can be the last for Vermeulen, & Steyns.

Gelant will probably back in a month for WP.

It's a big test for Damian Willemse. Settled nicely in 15 for WP/Stormers.

For a second I thought you meant Aaron. Happy though, the man is a dinosaur and almost as anti-NZ as the walrus.

Some Sweatie messing with his Wiki page (though I'm not sure it's coherent):

Neil Francis is a retired Irish rugby union lock forward and number eight. He played for Blackrock College, London Irish, Old Belvedere, Leinster and won 36 caps between 1987 and 1996 for Ireland, during which time he was pumped off Scotland each time he played them.[2]

So after a week of fun and games with Twitter burner accounts whinging about refereeing in the first test, Rassie releases his magnum opus. An hour long refereeing whinge, bitching about everything down to not straight lineouts. Absolutely the most pathetic thing I've ever seen from a Head Coach/DOR following a test match.

If that is not a deep fake, that's pretty fucking embarrassing.

Edit: Google tells me it's not. Jesus. Round the bend.

Lost a lot of respect for him seeing this.
Bizarre behavior of someone who seems to be cracking under the pressure.

So I watch the entire video and it is shit. Having hour long whinge about refereeing decisions a just bullshit.

But it is not even a good whinge, stylistically it was done badly. When you try and convince someone of something you don't open with your weakest point. The Curry tackle was naughty, but was correctly punished, so just shut up about it.

But in there are couple of grains of truth. When a ref puts down a marker on x, y or z and be super strict on certain actions he can't just ignore his own standard 5min later. Like the Bongi high tackle, giving or not giving the penalty could both be correct decisions but when the exact same thing happens five minutes later you need to stick to the standard you have set. Ben O'Keefe is extremely bad at this, pulling up completely random penalties out of his ass on things he let go the whole game.

@margin_walker some Comments from Twitter -
"I heard Rassie has contacted Peter Jackson about doing a 6 hour trilogy on Munsters loss to Scarlets in Pro12 final"
"My favourite bit is when he says "we don't want to nit pick and show every mistake they made" whilst providing an hour long video of nit picking"
**"My favourite part of the video was when he kept replaying Daly holding Mapimpi back (fair).

But the same replay kept showing Lukhanyo Am absolutely smashing Henshaw with no arms to knock the ball loose in the first place. No mention of it."**
"Gatland is living in a 50 story skyscraper inside Rassie's head"
"I dont know, first the burner account now the hour long video. Kinda turning into the trump of rugby"

Mine was at 39.53. He's complaining about the Itoje turnover on the Lions line. Talking about Faf being on his feet and at the same moment not mentioning the guy not on his feet - Motsert diving over the ruck like an exocet.

It's rugby FFS. It's a bloody hard game to referee. There are technical infringements at most breakdowns. Literally any team could make a video like this after a game highlighting calls that didn't go their way.

    I mean, just...wow.

I wonder what is going on in his head? Does he think this might influence the ref in their favour next time? Trying to build a seige mentality? Or has he just lost it and there's no plan?
