Beating Argentina by 21 could turn out important. That extra time score valuable
Lol like you're not about to pants Australia by 20
The ABs sevens for the last half a dozen years had been a team of spectacular bed shitting, see Vs Japan last Olympics
Yeah, nah. On an upward trend to be fair. Won the Comm Games convincingly, and are current (2019) World Series champs.

F*ck off with your spider cam. It makes me dizzy.
Terrible for live play (might be ok for replays if they could keep the ball in play and give you some idea of where the defence may be leaving gaps ). Screams that the producer is a rugby novice. That and the knee level can at lineout.

Bonus point loss should see us through
Weirdly I saw a tweet this morning saying we had already qualified and was about to tweet back that nah we hadn't ... but then I crunched the numbers, to make sure I didn't say something even more stoopid than normal, and we had. Even if our points diff went skewiff.
All moot by a game and a half now, but we qualified for QFs yesterday.

@booboo Imagine how marvellous we would be with someone with some out and out speed. Would love an isles, Norton or Senatla
Was driving much of the day and tried out SENZ on the tellingbone. Mark Stafford had interview with a sprint coach (forget his name) who works with both 7s teams.
Said that the blokes top speeds were all within 1-1.5km/h of each other. (Didn't say what that speed actually was though).

Good point Mr Gazer. Forgot San Fran.
They are not without a shot st this.
Maybe not favourites, but you can't write them off completely.

Why are there play-offs for 5-8, etc, in the Olympics?
Any reason other than the broadcasting Yen?They always have placing games for 7s. Olympics, Comm Games is no different.

@booboo Their definitely not slow, Ware used to be the fastest don’t know if that’s still the case…I was meaning compared to some of the teams our players seem like their only jogging just having that gas would make us complete.
The game keeps changing though. The yanks are now shut down by the big sides and their speedsters given no room.
I think that for the current game we have the gap acceleration needed. -

Read my mind. Either the acceleration to get into a gap, or the strength to break a tackle. Our guys are pretty good at it even if it doesn't look as flashy. Gassing on the outside with flat out speed isn't seen so much these days by anyone amongst the top teams in a real contest.
Sevens is pretty basic because there is so much space. It's also why the referees are so shit, it is really easy for us to see when they cock it up. Aside from the fact that they are c grade refs in the first place.

The other thing is that the traditional sweeper role seems to have been shelved in order to strengthen the initial defence line instead. Breaking that line is by far the most important facet followed closely by support play.

I like what our coaches have developed. The long passing is great. The offensive tackling and drive over is a real weapon. And they have chosen defensive agility and acceleration over top end pace. I. E. They like a close quarters game with our ability to cover and pressure.

Yep. Which is why that one missed tackle, whether is acceleration into a gap or a broken tackle, is almost always leading to a try. No sweeper to cover.
Not sure that it makes it a better game but it is different.
