    after 1500m:

    NZ 1st, well ahead of the rest (more than 8 seconds)

    Switzerland 2nd
    Iran 3rd
    Mex 4th

    Super dominant performance from Emma Twigg. It looked so easy!

    At the finish, and through to the semifinals:

    NZ 1st
    Switzerland 2nd
    Iran 3rd

    We're they the higher ranked crew? That Romanian crew was way too strong

    Remember they swapped out Loe for Osborne so it isn't the WC-winning crew. They are in the final - a new race now.

    As I said before, it's all to do with having the finals broadcast in the evening for the US market. They must pay the IOC the big money.

    @toddy I forgot which sport, but I've noticed that (keen on NZ's opponent to score) from a commentator before; I think it was a football game. Maybe the same commentator?

    I gave up watching their coverage in 2000 as you wouldn't have known any other country was competing in Sydney, much less little old NZ.
